Yep it arrived today
I ordered Monday as well. The deliver date has moved from the 12th to today and now is showing the 8th.
Maybe because theyre a Texas based company thats why it got here quick
Mine is rubbing off too. Only transformed it maybe 5 times.
Rotating the head to a different position makes it worse. I’ve been barely getting enough clearance by yanking on the hood assembly awkwardly (and probably stressing it out).
One could just leave the panel permanently rotated to show the flux capacitor, which is what I’m going to show my kid.
Too bad they didn't think to paint it on the other side.
Honestly, seeing that this is a remold, I don't think they put in enough thought/consideration into how the remolded parts would fare. This goes for the doors as well. Like, all it would take to solve this issue is if the back of the head were just a tiny bit shaved down.
Just got mine from Gamestop----and my god, do I want a 3P/4P "replacement lightning rod"----it's way more floppy/twisted than I imagine it would be. It's basically a thick rubber band. Just, mold it out of PLASTIC, and it'd be 10x better. Tried it for 5 secs, then put it right back in the box, will never use. (and that's disappointing, as I am very fond of the 'end of first movie' look----way better than Mr Fusion IMHO, I *want* a lightning rod!!!)
Also----"that black spot by the doors" was already rubbed off, MIB. It seems the very first transformation (by the factory, into car mode), is enough.
::edit:: This would actually be an excellent project for one of Toyhax's "parts+stickers" sets----replacement lightning rod+DMC logos, etc.
I love this tiny dude, lots of fun to fiddle with. Don’t like how easy the Mr. Fusion falls off though
My local EBGames in Canada just called to let me know my Gigawatt is in so I guess they are receiving stock now.
I'm a little disappointed that the price in Canada is the same as Ectotron at $60+tax. I was really hoping that was a mistake.
Got mine in, finally. Never again, GameStop, but moving on...
He's surprisingly nice. There's a lot of effort put into this one. Very fine details, and a lot of paint/tampographs, Hasbro has done a really great job on this one, I'm so impressed! (I see why it was $30.00...)
The box is even worth keeping and helps seal the deal. I'm glad they used the Sideswipe mold for this, I'm not sure another one would've pulled it off so well.
I'm a little concerned by the clickiness of the wheels when they snap in place... It's not a good sound/feeling. I can see why paint rubs are happening, too. Shame, because the paints really well done on this. I kind of wish Hasbro would do more figures like this. It's great detail.
Just picked up my pre-order (s) from eb games here in ontario canada. Ordered two, one to open and one to keep sealed, same as I did with ecto.
Your Mr. Fusion is back to front. Also, make sure that the two legs are squeezed tight together and that the latch on Mr. Fusion sandwiches the center two ridges on the car. It becomes really solid on mine.
You’re right, it was indeed backwards. But even after switching it and squeezing the legs, mine still springs off at the slightest touch
I had to shave down the peg on the Mr. Fusion just a tiny bit, and now it's rock solid.
Nope. Tried trimming mine and it still pops off if I look in its general direction.
I just applied a single coat of future polish and it stays on just fine now.
Anyone have experience with UPS claiming to have handed a package over to USPS and then USPS claiming to have not received it from UPS? That appears to be where my Gigawatt from GameStop is at the moment. I really hate the mail relay services.
Just got through that. UPS has indeed handed it off. The USPS is sitting on them playing catch up.
Cool, good to hear. USPS must be an absolutely manic place to work right now. Our mail delivery has gotten so erratic. Instead of 2:30 every day it’s any time between 9AM and 8PM. Those folks must be aging in fast forward right now.
