It appeared in one episode. Rodimus ditches the trailer and drives only in car mode around. I could have done without that, but I think it's a nice nod to acknowledge that scene. I wish at least the spoiler would go further to the front in truck mode.

 

It is a nice nod to that one scene but it shouldn't have been at the expence of the overall truck mode.
I'd happily take a doofy looking car mode and reduced storage capacity in exchange for an awesome truck mode.

 

We now know from the TT designer’s interview, it’s a joint decision by Hasbro and TT. And he designed it deliberately like an SUV rather than a stand alone Hot Rod car.

I found him last night along with the Ark.

I'm just gonna say it. his super long alt mode was silly at first, but after lookign at it a little while and really thinking about it, it also makes since. He's hauling a Trailer around. he shouldn't be the size of a Dodge Van, he should be the size and length of a smaller Semi with Tractor Trailer.  

He's def the size of a larger RV at least. but again, he is hauling a Trailer. So I honestly feel for the first time His Size and Length is correct. and he is the height of Optimus Prime in Robot Mode. so in this rare case hasbro got his scale perfect.

There are tons of things I love about this toy. it's well deserving of his pricetag I feel.

I like my copy completely. even if sometimes his gunner station halves don't stay connected all the time in trailer mode. it's fine.  

 

Painted the canopy and front portion on the trailer.

 

Tired everything to fix his trailer issue and nothing is working.

Gonna have to fix my trailer, too. Won't stay closed, with or without cannon. I'll have to try Future or nail polish. (Not nail hardener. I learned that the hard way.) The hot garage/car isn't an option because I don't have either.

I'm curious if there's a specific purpose for that the space in the trailer above where Rodimus plugs in. It reminds me of the "attic" in U-Haul moving trucks. I'm not complaining - more storage is good, especially if you have 3rd party accessories that you'd like Rodimus to hold onto for his troops. Optimus' trailer is too small to store much, especially after installing the Nonnef set. But it feels like there's a reason for this extra door and I don't know what it could be. *shrug*

 

For what this guy costs the cab def. should have had that paint app….

 

Looks a darn sight better but still needs the whole car sinking another inch back into the trailer.

 

it doesnt have to be a garage or car, just wrap it in blankets or something and put it anywhere itll approach 100 deg after i rubber band it

if u find a big enough waterproof bag u can do the waterbath method

Just got mine and it seems I have the issue too, the trailer doesnt close securely, that's a bit of a bummer at this price. I'm liking the car mode a lot on its own so far

Looks like they could be shaved down between the barrels so that they could.


Don’t think I’ve ever seen this done before. The way they shaved the tire clearance piece all the way down to the pin.
