A whole decade later!

 

I remember when this first got announced... I loved this game. Even though I never got to play the multiplayer...

I still have my original physical copy, too bad it’s practically useless now...  

 

I've been playing this on my Twitch stream (MaxLAGamer) to lead up to today. Such an amazing game that withstands the test of time with systems aging and new tech emerging. Really wish we'd gotten more out of the main titles but still, 6 connected titles in total is not a bad spread at all.

10 years already? Damn..I remember waiting in line to get this game as a kid. Seems a life time ago.

This game in my opinion paved the way forward for this decades media and toys, especially Generations.

It’s a shame we are likely to never get a remaster.

Really, all I want is this and FoC on Switch, but, alas, it’s not to be.

I feel nearly certain that this won’t get a remaster for another decade, not until this latest War for Cybertron toyline has become a distant memory.

 

Insane that it’s been 10 years. I was on summer break after having finished 6th grade. Man I feel old. As much as I like Fall of Cybertron, there’s just something about WFC that I like even more. It’s such a shame it never got ported to the Xbox One and PS4 before the partnership between Activision and Hasbro ended.

 

Thanks, we all feel like fucking fossils now.

 

I love them both equally but WFC was a fresh take on Transformers for me, it’s what made me come to realise it’s an actual civil war and not just a tit-for-tat between two rivals and their cronies.

Going forward it’s what I judge every new piece of media against, is it a good idea? Maybe not, but the aesthetic and soundtrack alone gives me Cyberpunk vibes and I love it. It was pretty cool taking off a goons head with the Null Ray or Battle Pistol and getting the shower of Energon.

 

They should do something for FOC's 10th anniversary.

 

This game is still one of the best TF games we've ever gotten, and I still love going through it from time to time. I even had fun with the handheld games due to all the other characters that didn't appear in the main console releases.

 

I remember when this game came out and I didn\'t own any game console at the time but I wanted so bad to play it. I did have the Optimus Prime toy that went alongside this game and I played with it so much that nowadays you wouldn\'t know what it used to be. And would you believe I still don\'t own the game? On consoles anyway. I eventually got the DS version which I love but to this day the console version of WFC is the only game in that series I don\'t own. Still this is absolutely a milestone worth celebrating! Rock on WFC! You will live on forever in the fans\' hearts.

 

Honestly, it’s one of the best depictions we’ve ever gotten of the war before they came to earth. The sound design, the setting and atmosphere are awesome. And the designs of the robots are absolutely awesome. Not even the designs in Siege can come close.

 

Awesome game! My son and I were just talking about the game an hour ago. Sucks our PS3 shit the bed.

 

Honestly I was hoping that this is what Siege was going to be with the back to Cybertron plan they had, then Earthrise came and ruined it with Earth G1 again.

 

I quit collecting and ignored Animated, Prime and the Bayverse... but WFC pulled me back in.
