In a similar vein to the, 'Transformers vs. Gundam' thread; I thought I'd propose this match up as well. Evangelion has been my obsession recently and it's had me thinking about who would actually come out on top if these two continuities ever met on opposing sides.

In my studies I couldn't come up with a clear cut winner because Unit-01 is basically God and Unicron IS God. Plus, if you add in Alternity, the cityformers and all of the other non-incompetent Cybertronians Transformers gets an edge. However, if Unit-01 is left to awaken then basically all life in the universe is reduced to LCL for the Instrumentality project including Cybertronians. That would leave Alternity, Primus and Unicron to combat Unit-01 which basically leaves Gods fighting for an eternity. The only weak link would be Shinji but, given his ability to awaken Unit-01 in Rebuild 2.22 without an S2 engine or God-Rei, if he were pushed enough I could see him having godlike stamina. Add to that all of them having the ability to create realities and... man it gets intense haha.

So, who do you think would take the cake?

I'm biased, because I don't like the Evangelion series. But from an objective standpoint, the EVA units have a very finite amount of time they can operate before their battery runs out IIRC.

Of course, I ducked out of the series before the EVA units became as powerful as you're describing, so what do I know?

How far did you get in? - There's a point in the series where the Evas can operate without the umbilical and can basically run forever after that. Along with other story points during the series, Shinji and Unit-01 are basically made into gods and are given the ability to rewrite time as they see fit.

You do relise that's only because of the physics of the Flinstones universe that allows him to destroy stuff. Put him in the Movies universe, and he wouldn't last a second.
