I can't tell if this is supposed to be satirical or not.

Just that over the last several years, we've been seeing this uptick in ire over "hollow parts" as if that's a new thing, when *gestures broadly*.

Personally I would like a Leader Class scale Marvel G1 Scorponok and Fortress Maximus.

I like those characters but I don't have enough money to buy modern representations of them.

The Marvel comics were wild y'know, we haven't had yet representations for characters from there: Straxus, the Powermasters (that receive great spotlight comics with one of my favorites cover pages), Jhiaxus (already a listing but we haven't seen it yet), tank G2 Megatron, the Pretenders, and maybe repaints with comic colors.:tumbleweed:

What's wrong with TM2 Cybershark though?

It was vastly inferior to the original.

Oh my god, I wasn\'t expecting this! This is perfect! They\'re reissuing more figures continuing with Scorponok? AND he has a show accurate deco!? I know theres tarantulas and terrorsaur coming out, but that\'s probably another wave far off into the future. I hope they do Blackarachnia in show colors, that way I won\'t have to scavenge the internet to find a Telemocha one!

I think that's more to do with the original Cybershark being one of the best BW figures hands down.

TM2 had the fucky shoulder pads and some questionable colours, but that mould really took on new life as Sky-Byte with the amazingly detailed and appealing deco. It's one of the better TM2 figs, with good proportions and articulation.

I always loved the Andrew Wildman’s vibe of Beast Wars Scorponok robot face sculpt.

Yes and for what I saw for that figure it was good, a good figure of his time. Straxus needs a modern representation that can fit into modern figure standars, and HasTak has a good chance for doing that since in the comics Straxus transformed into a flying cannon that looks like the Kingdom Galvatron alt-mode. There are many characters that need a new representation with better build, sculpt, detail and maybe articulation but well....HasTak is the one who decides that.:drunk

I've got somewhat mixed opinions on the original Cybershark toy.

I mean, he's a glorified flipchanger for one. With a whole lot of BW weapon kibble. He's got such a simplistic sculpt, to boot, to the point where his distinctive facial details are mostly just painted on.

But he's so damned fun, in part because all his weapon parts are (intentionally? coincidentally?) compatible with his fist holes, giving him this massively variable armory. You could just use his gear as prescribed and be done with it. Or use his twin missiles as escrima sticks/swords, or doubled up as a bow staff. Hammerhead could be used as an actual war hammer. He's kinda nuts.

And he's quite due for an update...

Meanwhile I never realized how much Bayformer's Scorponok took after BW Scorponok's mold till now.

Was that adjective intentional? If so, 10/10 would smash.

By your logic none of the BW figures from Kingdom should get another mold until at least 2035.o_O

Well this was out of left field.

I'm of the opinion that the original BW Scorponok mold holds up pretty well, Cyberbee tab aside. I much prefer the deco of the original toy, however. The black is far more striking than the attempt at show-accuracy with the grey here. Still, glad this figure is an option for anyone that wants it, especially with how lackluster the Kingdom update wound up being.

    Nice.

A vote of confidence in more Beast Wars products after strong sales of the initial figures? Hasbro keeping Beasts in the minds of fans until ROTB arrives? Perhaps both?
