Also, you have to be kidding me, they're using the headsculpt of a character from a continuity that is going to be left behind soon enough (Hell, that headsculpt is in fact from IDW1.0 so is even older). Even more surprising is that this is a heavy retool!

Better than the initial rumours though. Might actually get it now.

 

So much for the "Hasbro will never do IDW anything again cause they lost the license" crowd.

Blurr just went from easy skip to hard pre-order.

 

Well, the thing I disliked the most about ‘86 Blurr was the face sculpt, so I guess this is a reasonable alternative for me.

Thats a huge improvement over just toy colors Blurr. I might actually get this. The headsculpt is my least favorite part of SS86 Blurr and, while I overall perfer the normal G1 Blurr head, this is a huge improvement.

 

Technically this design of IDW Blurr has colours based on the original toy, so I feel like that's a communication mistake between sources rather than disinformation. To restate what I said elsewhere, I really like the toy colours here compared to TR Blurr, so I'll get him if he's ever on sale. The headsculpt is also rather good, especially when compared to Mr Big-Chin Thunderlips.

 

opposite for me. idw retools means i WONT be skipping him.

 

By the way, this particular version of the mould allows for more uses for other characters.

I would LOVE to see them do Velocity! You're right that it would make a good one. Might be worth getting it just for that possibility.
