Well, since then, I've gone back and completely remodeled whole areas of him, as well as reproportionialized him into the glorious specimen you see before you! No vehicle mode yet, that is still being modeled and designed, but I will be taking requests for poses with Magnus here! I will also take requests for wallpapers, signatures, and avatars. Is that the WFC DS design? Only real feedback I can give is that he needs more materials on him (such as plastic covering lights like FOC Snarl and multiple metal types), and some more detailing, such as scrapes and dings.
Thanks guys. HeroicC300; while I appreciate your feedback, this is an aesthetic style I'm going for. But thank you, and I'll keep it mind. And I think I got a request for a leaping in the air with a hammer shot...hmm... BAM!
Ultra Magnus has an interesting design. It's G1 inspired without a doubt but has aspects of FOC and to an extent TFA and TFP in him with the hammer. Good luck with your series! Are you going to put out a list of the Autobots and Decepticons appearing in the series one day?
@Kaiju: Thanks. He draws most of his design from WFC; with the hammer being drawn from TFA and TFP; and the head obviously being G1-inpsired. And to answer your question, I have already released a character list: Autobots: Ultra Magnus Roadbuster Sideswipe Sunstreaker Fastlane Solara (A new female character I created) Decepticons: Megazarak -*Spoilers*- Vortex Crankcase Nexron (Another new character (male) that I created) There will be many more in the series, but that is the starting cast.
Excellent model! But the pose in the second pic seems a little... stiff.... I'd put both hands on the hammer, and change the camera angle so its kinda looking up at him. Angel his face down and put a little bit of emotion on it, like a battle cry. Pardon the critique, but I'm something of a 3D artist myself, and was just trying to give you some helpful pointers. Again, the model itself looks AWESOME.
Holy shit these looks awesome. Magnus looks MUCH better with a background. Some pre-emptive critiques/suggestions for the SunnySide twins: Have Sunstreaker have a very reflective finish, and more gold than the G1 yellow (like FOC Bumblebee, except cooler looking) while Sideswipe gets more more duller, beaten paintjob to reflect his personality as a brawler. Roadbuster going to essentially be CDT Hot Shot with the new head?
I'll see what I can do as far as the coloring and reflectivity, but no promises. Roadbuster is based on CDT Hot Shot, but there'll be several additions/changes. Thanks for the compliments and thoughts. As always, I'll take them into account. The show itself will reflect the gunner/brawler differences between them though, for sure.
