Welp, it was a nice dream while it lasted.

Most fun I see here now is gauging how long till it keels over and hoping the jackass they hired from Rockstar that made the decision gets run out of the business.

Not typically. If you read the article there's basically going to be a bunch of battlefields. Obviously the rockstar animator (how the fuck does that qualify you to be the lead creative director??) doesn't know shit about TF's except what he's seen from Michael Bay.

It also said all the battlefields will be connected so you can transport yourself to different ones so yea it is still open world. kinda

 

Well, there goes most of my motivation for even playing this.

 

...People are sad about this not being an MMO? Really? It's very rare for an MMO to actually hold a large enough playerbase to remain active. Okay, MOBAs have that problem too (RIP, Super Monday Night Combat), but it's far easier for a MOBA to survive on <500 players than an MMO.

 

Just looked up what a MOBA is. I am no longer going to fork out for a computer that could play this.

Eh, no big loss for me. I've never really played a MMO before and I'm uncertain how I'd do in one or how I feel about working as a team when I'm supposed to be a Decepticon.

My interest declined upon reading that. the MMORPG appealed to me more as it would have been something different. This just sounds like a larger version of the multiplayer on the Xbox games.

 

^ which that in itself might be still fun to play for free.

 

Other than the fact that if you like that sort of gameplay to begin with, you most-likely already own one that would be much better.

I personally think this shit is a lazy cop-out and I can pretty much guarantee that I will -not- play it for that reason alone.

I'm sure it has some MMO aspects to it such as missions/quests.

 

Well I hope it is still free and it doesn't affect my account on the game.

 

I'm sure it will stay free-to-play, that's the only way other MMOs are staying afloat against the giant that is WOW. Star Trek Online, DC Universe Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic...all started off as pay-to-play and now they've gone free.

It's an online battle arena. So basically a free to play version of what we already have, just with Prime aesthetics instead of its own.

Thrilling.

 

So does this mean that there's no longer any character customization in the game?
