Well, crap. Just a heads-up; Hound's windshield (thankfully ONLY his windshield) will likely suffer the same sticky paint issue that's been plaguing the TF figures lately. I caught it early, but the paint on Hound's windshield is definitely sticky and rubbing off.

Right now it's just the edges of the side mirrors, and I caught it in time to coat it to prevent further injury. It's contained to JUST that windshield piece though, the rest of the car is solid colored plastic.

 

Running paint is what you get when you don't use lead based paints. So there.  

 

I cant wait to get Hound and Cyclonus but especially Hound as I never had the original. Great to have a 3D Ravage too.

On the one hand, a more 3D Ravage is certainly an advancement on the original, but on the other he's less poseable, has less paint apps, is less like a jaguar and less like a cassette - don't get me wrong, I think he's a nice extra for Hound, but while the rest of the classics are light years ahead of their original counterparts, he seems a little less of a step forward.

Great review though, and Hound and Cyc are definite purchases.

I was going for a shot of just the pre-movie Autobot cars. Also, the only Classics Grimlock I have is the SG one.

 

For those asking:



You need to put a small strip of paper or tape around the posts on the weapons, the holes on Ravage are just a little too big to hold them without falling out. Also, I got a little hands-on time with my friend's reissue Soundwave. Ravage does indeed fit and takes up only ONE cassette slot. You can fit Universe Ravage AND another cassette in the reissue version. This bodes will for him fitting inside of G1/Encore Soundwave as well, but I haven't been able to personally confirm that.
