I think this line is slowly but surely winning me over. I've never been a fan of "cute", but... okay, let me lay this out:

-First G1 Robot Heroes come out. I buy Shockwave vs. Grimlock right off the bat, mostly because I love Shockwave so much. Pass on all the others, don't like cute and don't like TFs that don't transform.
-After staring at them in the aisle several times each, I eventually get Bumblebee vs. Soundwave, Optimus Prime vs. Unicron, Jazz vs. Thundercracker. Still pass on the others.
-First Movie Robot Heroes come out. I buy half of them, pass on the other half.
-Second wave Movie Robot Heroes come out. I buy all of them.
-When these come out, I will likely buy all of them as well.

    DARN YOU ROBOT HEROES!!!

It looks like the Universe packaging will follow the same template of Titanium packaging in that they'll be able to specify which era certain figures are from: Generation 1 Series, Beast Wars Series, etc. That could ultimately mean a lot more options for the Universe line down the road...

Either way, absolutely loving Hound, Galvatron, Sunstreaker & Blitzwing and can't wait to see who's next where the G1 characters are concerned.

Yeah, first look at the new Universe packaging.

I love the G1 ones again, but the BW are very meh to me, just like the movie ones. Something about these seems to make them only work with G1 or something...the others all just looks like ugly little blobs to me.

I can't understand why people are complaining about Megatron so much. He fared much better than his box-mate. Rattrap is a serious POS. From the looks of the other Robot Heroes, these guys are supposed to resemble their TV appearance. In order to get that for Rattrap they need to drop the backpack kibble (basically all the extra legs) and give him the right paint job.

Adjusting Megatron's purple to match up better would help too. Hopefully, Hasbro still has people reading boards and sees this. If these guys are getting released when the Universe line is supposed to reappear, they have enough time to make the needed changes.

I am very impressed by the Galvatron RH, though. He turned out well enough that, like Shockwave, the 'cute' factor doesn't detract from the appearance for people not interested in the cute-SD look. I guess I'm going to have to get that one (and toss Sunstreaker with Grimlock).

The G1s look great, but I think I'll pass on the BW.

Now, just do Smokescreen and I'll be happy. :D

I wasn't going to get these, but they look great, and BBTS seems to have all of the past waves in stock...

    Might change my mind.

G1-ers are a must, particularly for Hound and Sunstreaker. Beast Wars guys I'm not so keen on, especially the Rattrap and Megs duo. Man, did they ever mess up Rattrap's base coloring and Megatron looks like he took a bath in turpentine... :confused2

Because there are close to 400 of these little guys in existance, About 10 waves of star wars and 6 waves of marvel and this makes wave 5 of TFs. So there is a huge line of these outside of transformers that gives this line power.

Much lovin' here for the Beast Wars figs - minus Megs due to that washed out color scheme. Not too impressed with the Sunstreaker/Galvatron combo, mainly cause I'm just kinda sick of mini-Galvatrons and never was much of a Sunstreaker fan. All in all, this is definitely a group of keepers. :thumbs2:

Plus they are FAR cheaper to make than the Titaniums due to no transforming engineering, die cast usage, etc... which also means it's much easier for Hasbro to make a profit off these things. And that's good news for us - it will hopefully mean that we'll see the TF versions continue as long and with as much variety as the Star Wars ones have.

No love for BW RH, and the Galvy/Sunny combo doesn't look great, but Hound and Blitzwing will be mine! No doubt about it (that's if I can FIND the bloody things).

Well you can say the same for the titanium line. We have titaniums for spiderman, transformers, star wars and battlestar galactica all which are still on sale(except for Tf titaniums). Honestly I know the titanium line came to a close because of cost effectiveness, my question was more cynical than information seeking.
