TRANSFORMERS UNICRON #1 (OF 6) 50 COPY INCV PITRE DUROCHER (MAY180620)
Hm. A nice idea to reference the 1st issue of Marvel G1. Although, not 100% sure if those characters work. BB looks weird, but whatever. As neat as this is, I'm gonna stick with Alex Milne's cover.
Thats fucking amazing.
Cute homage, done before (and better in my opinion) when Regeneration One did it.
Nice to see two boring non-characters taking up two large spots on the cover, but at least they aren't Windblade? She pretty much nailed the colors, though.
It needs the limit series banner on the top, but otherwise great tribute artwork.
This has been done so many times. This is the third time idw has done it.
This is new one is probably the best though.
Where are all the people who take the covers literally? I can't wait to see what they make of this one.
I\'m not sure that it is a Sara Pitre-Durocher cover, as Bill Sienkiewicz is listed as an artist of a variant, and Sara is not. Has Sara comfirmed that it is in fact hers?
Yes it is Sara's, go to the original source and she has all but confirmed it on twitter.
Yeah, I'm seeing that now. I wonder what happened to Bill Sienkiewicz's cover then?
My guess someone misinterpreted and it became the telephone game.
Wait, didn't the promo info say that Bill Sienkiewicz himself would be the one drawing the throwback cover or was that just misinformation?
Wait, I bet the Bill Sienkiewicz is still gonna be a Marvel homage, #5 with Unicron in place of Shockwave.
At least it's not another "...ARE ALL DEAD!" homage. That's like the Giant-Sized Uncanny X-men cover of Transformers covers.
Love the cover. It has a nice modern retro feeling.
The very first and most popular cover for an inner parody!)
Where is the next JLI cover for Lost Light?
This cover reminds me of something I really don\'t like about IDW Transformers. They completely shafted the humans! I know they had humans before, and they were generally liked, so what the hay? I know that the franchise is called Transformers, but to me, anyone who wants to focus purely on Transformers, and human-cybertronian relations, misses the point. That\'s why I\'m excited for the new Bumblebee mvoie. I haven\'t seen a Transformers production that really had a good bond between humans and Transformers since TF rime.
They’ve been having so much human stuff lately. Heck the whole Optimus prime comic has been about that and allowing the council of earth to join with cybertron to create peace with the universe. I don’t understand your problem.
Separate names with a comma.
