Which will never happen because there's no point in announcing they're "cancelled" because they were never a thing that was announced as a regular feature.

We just got an update about Star Saber a few days ago regarding the stand, which may not be a "Transformers Tuesday" but was still a piece of news.

Yep. Plus I think if there were going to be announcements we would hear something a bit more concrete then us merely saying it's Tuesday there must be some tf announcements lol.

I think in general it's more of a "it's Tuesday, wonder if there's gonna be any announcements"

Agreed, along with a dollop of cynical acceptance. At least on my part. :)

I consider it a weekly tradition by this point.

Indeed. Either way when there's nothing there's a lot of disappointed fans asking Where's this and Where's that figure

I'm guessing nothing, thus continuing their streak of imo awful marketing.

I think it was last Tuesday when there was nothing announced and then there was some event that happened that we heard nothing from that people were accusing hasbro of not caring about transformers.

    I found that hilarious.

Since we're counting "reveals but no preorders," there was Studio Series Sunday that revealed Jolt, Bee, Thrust, and Grindor on July 18th.

Pulse announced and listed a number of Takara imports on July 28th.

The last retail product reveal/preorder stream was 86 Starscream, Sweep, and Preceptor on August 13th.

    HasLab Star Saber
was revealed during their last stream, August 27th.

If we're only counting "Transformer Tuesday" announcements it was NEST Bumblebee on August 31st.

The first "true" prototypes of HasLab Star Saber were revealed on September 2nd.

If we're going off new product announcements regardless of day, Road Rage and Draculus were revealed (w/ preorders) on September 10th.

That last update on Star Saber was the Stand on September 16th.

If we're going off new product availability, SS Jolt and the new Bee went live on Pulse this past Friday (September 17th).

If we're going off anticipated news: Target says there's Hasbro reveals as part of the Fall Geek Out on October 10th, and PulseCon is October 22nd/23rd.

    -----

EDIT: I added additional reveals/streams prior to the last TF Tuesday for full context.

They really do need a better marketing team, for both Transformers and G.I. Joe. Transformers had 6 or so figures (outside of Haslab) revealed in 2 live streams this summer and Joe hasn't had a livestream since June. Compare that to Marvel and it's kind of pathetic.

    like with Red Alert

How hard is it to send an email saying Red Alert is available on Hasbro Pulse? Or just add him to the email you sent for Starscream, Perceptor, and Sweep?

Compared to Marvel (and Star Wars) TF is small potatoes. GI Joe smaller still. Though they did a pretty solid blitz just before Snake Eyes came out.

Also, Marvel and Star Wars are licensed properties. So their hands are somewhat forced by what the license holders are doing.

Tf is still pretty niche even after all these years and various TV shows and movies. Marvel and star wars are still bigger names and even then there hasn't been too much sw stuff either. Some of us are still waiting for the sw haslab announcement which is likely going to be the rancor.

Theres not that much really happening. Patience is required. We will be told but it will be by their choosing when we are if at all.

Theres a mantra that as a collector I go by....

    Hasbro
    Don't
    Owe
    Us
    Anything

That's the truth. Live by that and you won't be disappointed.

This is true, but you'd think they'd put a little more into the stuff they own as well

I agree they don't owe us anything, it's just odd. They announced SS86 figures, but nothing for the live action figures that occupy the same waves, they didn't announce Kingdom wave 4 and it's being found on shelves already. It's a bit of a marketing regression compared to the last few years and it's just odd.

What does "more" look like though? I just broke down the last three product reveals/releases and that didn't include the Star Saber stream on August 27th.

Actually, just went back and updated with further dates and context.

I'm stealing this. It perfectly encapsulates the anti-entitled theory I've been a fan of. Expect me to make you guys sick of hearing HDOUA. ;)
