This is an "neat" custom kinda honestly ever since the death of him theres never been an top 10 Transformers deaths whether it be labeled tragic, sad, badass, cruel, worst, best deaths fans will complain about him not being on there and honestly I think "seriously guys?" Theres people who think ratchets death was worse than some of idws worst ways to die which are pretty bad in the comics yet people think ratchets death is the top 1 when it shouldn't be fans should of saw this coming ever since the third movie with ironhides death.
i think a reason he's not on those deaths is because he didn't actually die. When Lockdown removed his spark it was kept intact and there were no implications on him destroying it or storing it, so it's a possibility he's still alive, unlikely as it seems
Personally, I'm forseeing that Galvatron will find that having no spark has some sort of horrible flaw, and finds a spark to use for himself, and it turns out to be Ratchets. It'd be a twisted reference to the Marvel Comics where they got bound to each other
