Maybe we'll get some leaks from this one or Nuremberg, though I don't remember much getting out in previous years.

Not much. But we do get some info and official press releases.

London Toy Fair is only for selected audience. Pretty hard to get in. Images from London TF comes from Transformers Fans who attend the show as another retailer/distributor. LTF is mostly for establishing new partners for the coming year. For example: "Here are the official Transformers diecast vehicles we produced. Would you be interested in becoming a distributor for Europe?". Some images are officially given out too. Things are kept hush-hush in order not to spoil any reveals for New York Toy Fair which is the biggest one of them all and open to press.

Nuremberg/German one on the other hand is notoriously famous (or should I say infamous) for keeping things behind closed doors. Leaking things from NTF will result in expulsion from the show floor and a potential ban (forever) to the wholesaler/retailer/distributor involved with the leak. Quite a risk to take just for a pic or two, don't you think?

One small correction...NYTF is not open to the public.

I believe this is the toy fair where I found out what Crosshairs looks like. Hopefully we will see Cogman and Red Car.

London TF has a strict no photography policy and displays are in enclosed areas so they cannot be seen unless you are actually in the kiosk/room where the products are being displayed. Only people who are retailers/distributors or work for those companies can get into London TF. Slight chance that someone might "take notes" which apparently they don't police and we get some descriptions. Nuremburg TF depends on if the manufacturer allows photography or not. Lego, for example allows photography at Nuremburg TF, but Hasbro does not and follows pretty much the same protocol as they would for London TF. Guest list for Nuremberg TF is same as London. Same for chances of getting product details.

Bottom line: very small chance of getting some descriptions and perhaps a rogue photo from London or Nuremberg, but in all likelihood, we will be waiting until NYTF like every other year!

Pretty strange to see a multinational corporation just blow off major industry shows but Hasbro's made it pretty clear they'd rather operate a tollbooth (licensing) than sell/manufacture products (toys).

They don't blow them off...they just don't want info coming out before the big one in NY. They're an American company, why would they want all their big product announcements to come out with a whimper a few weeks before the big press coverage of an American toy fair?

Even then, there are certain products and portions of NYTF that are are still "secret" where photography is not allowed.

Cogman I can imagine they will make a toy of, but the Red car I really want to know if they are going to do one.

Hasbro did apologize to the Organizers of London Toy Fair and wished them the best. They stated that the main reason they are skipping LTF is the fact that it was hard to manage multiple Toy Fairs in Europe happening so close together.

What is Hasbro UK? Besides a red-headed stepchild.

They're a multinational corporation and can send 3 reps and a box of toys to industry shows in their 3rd biggest market if they want to.

Hasbro UK, like all of the other Hasbro ___ entities are essentially distribution arms.

Yes they have a multinational presence, but they are an American company. NYTF is the west's biggest ToyFair with the most media attention. Their energy and focus is going to be there.

Apologies, I didn't realize that they had withdrawn from London ToyFair, I assumed they were attending given that it was brought up as a point of conversation.

    No need to apologize. :)

I thought they'd at least participate for the 2017 one. But when I saw that they are not listed, I waited until it's confirmed. Confirmation came in the form of A.B.Gee who stated Hasbro is not returning this year. Hopefully, next one.

Do you ever post anything that doesn't involve slamming Hasbro for something, whether real or imagined?
    Sheesh. We get it already.

I think the only downside of these closed events where pics aren't allowed is the baseless speculation and conclusion-jumping. Yes, it's fun to guess what may or may not be leaked, but it seems that every year there's heated debates over insanely blurry and obstructed images.
Heck, didn't someone last year say they saw what could have been a new Predaking? Everyone jumped on that with increased anticipation, yet nothing materialized.
Personally, I'll be content with waiting for NYTF. At least there we have actual reveals and official images. No guesswork involved.

One week seems so long right now.
