Sure am loving dem tight masters. They'll increase Megatron's straight alright!

 

I can't believe they still make Transformer commercials. You'd never see this stuff on TV.

Awesome commercial.

 

There's something really funny to me about the way Ptero just sort of floats in from off-screen, already in head-mode, to attach to Hot Rod.

 

Now if they actually had these products on store shelves, that would be solid marketing strategy.

 

I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around the concept of the titan masters...like if it isn't Prime's head on his body, isn't it not him anymore? I just don't understand haha

Prime, okay. Megatron, okay. Hot Rod, okay.

But why the hell would you showcase the worst of the Titan Master sets? Aren't you supposed to put your best foot forward?

 

They probably used them because along with Optimus, Megatron, and Hot Rod they're all Wave 3 products...
But Fangry, Sawback, and Ptero the worst of the Titan Masters? u wot m8? They're miles more interesting than any of the first two Waves of Titan Masters.

 

If the toys were like this commercial, with the real heads dropping inside the body and the titan masters being just a power up, this line would probably be more accepted.
For the record, I enjoy yhis line as is, but wouldn't mind non-traditional headmasters keeping their own head.

 

Something I would really like for Generations toy commercials would be to homage the original G1 commercials. I always have adored those commericals, and this line being Generations would be a good time to remaster that commerical style.

 

Yup! With cel animation....although they would never pay for that.

 

yeah, the Takara Headmasters plot of the bodies being lifeless transtectors and the small robot being the personality always made way more sense to me then "2 becomes 1"

 

I think about as being like pacific rim. Two minds merge to control one body more efficiently.

Except one mind is IN the body and the others in the head.

And the head has crazy powers.

 

The CGI isn't as cool as the CW ones were. A lot more rigid and less bouncy/energetic.

And then he transforms into vehicle mode, where the head has to detach anyway, so there was no point.

The body is always the character. So even without his head, Optimus is still Optimus. It's two people in one body.
