Transformers Timelines Issue 5 Diamond Comics Edition - Transformers News Who can name all the characters in the groupshot? I think I'll probably get whoever that is in the bottom left mixed up. Aquafend? Aquablast? I know he's an Aqua-someone from the Aquaspeeder team!
just an observation but generation 2 forgot "robots in disguise"... where they hiding? With the bright florescent colors an 80's gay bar
Oh man, that cover hurts... I was sitting on an auction for G2 Sizzle and Blaze for a month, but I never pulled the trigger and they got away from me.
well you say this, but G2 was very intense war and you've got those moments where the bots have tooled themselves up with more weaponary and plastered themselves with slogans - even Megatron had decals! so I think the disguise element went out the window!
I never cease to be mystified by those who point out "Robots in Disguise" (or its lack) as a particular form of criticism. Please understand, you have the right to your opinion, but it seems to me that there have been quite a number of eras (to say nothing of individual characters) in the history of the Transformers franchise where "disguise" wasn't really even on the radar. Sometimes Transformation is purely utilitarian. One mode is more useful than another for a particular purpose. To just name one example.
It's a cool cover, but it should feature more of the convention toys, most of the others barley do anything in the comic.
HAH! Just this afternoon I was thinking to myself "Wait,.....Did I miss this years Botcon comic when it hit the shelves?"
Totally Aquafend... with Streetstar, above those two are Scorch and Pyro, with Sizzle and Blaze to Pyro's left and right, respectively, along with Bumblejumper and Windbreaker above them... i think... i totally had to look up Sizzle and Blaze though... couldn't remember those two for the life of me... nah, comes out in November... I've got two on order at my comic shop, one for ORIO and one for me, even though i've got the official botcon version too... I just always buy the Diamond Edition... might order an extra one for my cousin too...
Oh god, memories of Electro... I fuckin loved him. I was living in Pacific City, Oregon, in a beautiful new beach house with sand for a yard when I got him. I was 9 years old, and he was the greatest toy ever (even if he couldn't stand very well). Surprisingly, he never succumbed to GPS. Instead, one of his thighs broke right at the hip-socket. I still have him, in fact. No GPS whatsoever. Incidentally, if anyone has an Electro with GPS but an intact left leg, I'd be happy to buy it from them.
