So my friends and I decided to create a transformers sort of d&d game, and we figured out character sheets, faction, most of the weapons, planets, environments, potential enemies and threats but.... we're still missing some things such as:

What different types of "races" we should use
Types/classes of transformers we may have forgotten about adding
Any weapons we may have forgotten
    Gear
    Armor
    Types of metal

Anything else? We need some assistance!

    races=factions
i'd look at the different categories that FOC and WFC had...
also those provide different types of weapons that the TF's used....the tfwiki.net can provide you with an explanation on what each weapon does (damage, range, etc)

Done a TF one before, had a load of fun. Races for us was the various races of Transformers, like Speedians, Giganolians, Junkions, Cybertronians, etc.

Didn't really have classes... gear was quite varied, since it mostly took place on Earth. Working our disguises was very important.

Wonder if I could find Blaze's character sheet...

Mechamorphosis was another TF RPG system, but yeah, do a search on the boards, there's been more than a few threads about this topic in the past.

If I might interject...G1 Tech Specs and Marvel's Universe issues should prove really handy. They are practically written like character sheets.
It seems to me that class would equal function: warrior, communication (wizard/illusionist?), medic (cleric), spy (thief), etc.

I can see race playing out as actual races (Junkion, Sharkticon, etc.) but you might consider using the toy "classes" as "races" -- mini-bot, scout, (deluxe would need a new name), leader, voyager, etc.

Mechamorphosis was the D20 version done by Green Ronin. They then took the principles of that game and made their own system, True20 and the game Mechagenesis. Having owned both genesis fixes some issues morphosis had so that's why I recommended it over morphosis.

I'm gearing up to run a game actually.

KlownyKritter I suggest you use Panjumanju's game. He's been run and testing if for 4 or 5 years now and has really worked on balance and the rules. Though admittedly, doesn't have the best layer out for his rule book. It's honestly one of my favorite system beating out DnD and Burningwheel and fate and savage worlds.

This all sounds really cool. I've done much of the leg work for my own Transformers RPG - you can rip a lot of material for that, if you want. It's in the signature below my post. Or, you know, you could just play the complete game - but there's a lot of fun in designing!
