Hi, New here but love the forum and site. I am a bit puzzled with a soundtrack I own. Does anyone have any info on a 2 cd set from Japan which has the original score to the animated Transformers The Movie? I got one off Ebay and apparently was from the Japanese Transformers Fan Club only. Is this true? I'm a bit skeptical about it. It plays fine but was curious. I thought you guys might know. There is another seller with them at the moment but I didn't buy it from them. It's here if you want to see what it looks like. transformers cartoon soundtrack | eBay Thank you for any light shed on this Ross
First of all, welcome to the site! I've personally not heard of that soundtrack before. There is a 2 CD set which was released as a Botcon exclusive called "Til All are One", there were a couple of other releases in a similar vein again through Botcon, but none bearing that particular artwork. What sets alarm bells ringing for me on the authenticity is the use of English text on what is meant to be a Japanese OST release. It's not unheard of, but some things like the use of the western logo in place of the Japanese one and the copyright info being in English makes me think twice. I'm sure one of the guys more knowledgeable in this sort of thing might be able to shed more light on it.
Songs with english titles are often printed in english text on soundtrack cds. The art looks like something a legit soundtrack would have, but I can't really tell with just the one, small image. This looks like the same (or very similar) contents to the "Til All are One" cd, could this have been available through one of the Botcon Japan events?
