Don't need the steel book version, was more referring to this 35th anniversary release in general

 

I was just able to pre-order on Amazon. And it looks like the Shout listing is sold out.

Yes thanks for the heads up I was able to successfully pre-order from Amazon! I searched a few hours ago on Amazon but didn't see it but it's there now (for the time being.)

 

Ordered on Amazon, but I must be getting spoiled because I was hoping it’s include a digital copy of the 4K version.

 

4k steelbook is up on Amazon, so not shout exclusive it seems. Was able to get it for $25 thanks to rewards points

 

Decided to preorder from shout factory like steel book version regular cover art is ok so I will own three different versions of same movie different quality format Maddog, shoutfactory versions

 

Sigh...

 

And yes I bought this version too. I think the only formats I don't own this movie on is Betamax and Laserdisc.

I wish the lithograph was of the artwork from the standard version. While I ordered the steelbook copy, the cover art isn't really blowing me away.

 

Seriously, all the re-releases and all the effort and all the technology and they still cant release a version that includes both the US intro and the international intro with the scrolling text?

Give me my scrolling text damn it!  

 

Yeah that was on the Rhino VHS release haven't seen it since.

 

Looking forward to a breakdown of the technicals to see if it\'s worth the 4K upgrade over the blu-ray. The blu-ray transfer already looks pretty good, I\'m not yet convinced I\'ll be missing that much compared to this release. 

 

First off , great work! The art is even better when its from life long fans that really care about the franchise!! And that tunnel... just wow, you really got that down , they should make an animated G1 type movie and pay you all the monies .. just all of the monies lol.

if they'll let you or if you can get paid to have them sell this art work on comforters and bed sheets... in other words I want to sleep on your art work haha..

 

So besides picture quality, is anyone dumping the previous blu-ray release to purchase this version? I'm kinda 50/50 on upgrading....

 

Am I the only one that thinks the art is wayyyy better on the standard edition ? I might get both I dunno I kinda want the limited steel book but the standard edition art blows it away.....I’m surprised they didn’t make that the steel book !! Seriously tho kudos to the artist that art is so great I kinda have to have it

Boss saw I was on the page and let me stay on break extra time to order but it sold out when I put it in cart. Oh well, standard version was my first choice either way.
