There was also a long ad for Earth Wars. Bit strange, the characters were all sailing color-coded battleships. Having never played the game, I don't know what that was about.

So - just getting back from seeing this today in Theaters. The film shown felt aged & unimproved. Almost as if it was older than 5 years when it was touched up. There was no commentary for add-on content to celebrate the film. Even just re-airing the older content of 5 years ago would have been fine. Was kinda hoping to get the version touched up for resale again...

Tetris is Russian Propaganda to cover the Csar's invention of the Matrix for it's own people back in the 1980's...

Sitting in the theater waiting for the film to start...

The pre-show quiz questions related to the film are woefully easy...

Make sure to go a little early. There was some fun stop motion shorts using the toys.

I just got back from the showing in Westlake, Ohio. I had a great time seeing this on the big screen again. Those shorts in front of the movie were pretty great.

I watched it earlier today with my brothers, they showed 3 different stop motions, one with the Sweeps and Scourge arguing who is who, one with Jazz trying to get the directors not to kill his character by singing the Touch (voiced by Stan Bush), and one with Hotrod accidentally dropping the matrix.

Just got back from seeing this with my son… we had a blast! I loved seeing it on the big screen for the first time and he loved it too! The Robot Chicken-esque Scourge/Sweep bit, pre-movie, was a riot!:lol

Enjoyed the movie & it was a nice experience since i didn't get to see it in theaters back in 86. Was hoping some of the extra features from the BR would make it to big screen to make it more of an event. Didn't get any sort of bonuses beyond the 3 little stop motion skits.

Downsides was this didn't even fill half the theater, but as my friend pointed out, this was released same time as local football game. Other downside was teen next to me obviously didn't want to be there & spent chunk of time playing game on his phone which was a bit distracting.

Watched it today at Noon with my wife. It was the first time watching it in the theater and it was everything I could hope for and more. Big thanks to everyone who made this a reality 35 years later.

Went to one of the screenings near me and had a decent time. Although I gotta say, I'm whiter than some literal saltine crackers and even I cringed when the audience clapped for optimus prime showing up to autobot city, and the pacing really isn't great, huh? Like, yeah, wow, look at voxel, brave enough to criticize the 80s toy commercial, but it was noticeable. Still had a fun time though, the only other time I'd seen it was on my shitty laptop. Can't imagine many people who weren't already transformers fans got much out of it, but what did they think would happen?

My theater was silent the entire time luckily. Only some chuckles when Starscream kicked a dying megatron. Glad I went to go see it in theaters so I can say I have, but probably won’t see another release.

Shame this isn't a thing in the UK. Would've liked to see TFTM in the cinema.

The odd ball pacing is one of my favorite things about the movie.

It's definitely charming, if confusing at times, especially when it just jump cuts back and forth between junk and quintessa.
