I can't wait to buy this on dvd. What we've seen of the cover is awesome. Does anybody have any info on any dvd special features, or something else about it, like the release date.

Seriously though, I see Blaster shooting a gun, Bumblebee, Jazz, Grimlock's face in robot mode....

So Optimus is centeral, with Grimlock on the left and Bumblebee on the right?

 

Looks really cool so far. I wish that crew was the actual central group in the movie

I think those blue legs on the lower-left are Prime's, not Magnus', and he's just got his arm raised pointed at Unicron.

 

The gray arm that is visible is Grimlock's. You can see the gold dino-toes on the wrist, and his gun is the double-barrelled one he came with. Those are Prime's blue legs, though, and one of Grimlock's is behind them. (edit: I see Prime's left arm on the right side, with the smokestack.)

Hopefully the dvd will have an artwork section which shows all the different movie posters. Remember the one with Hotrod and Arcee? Kind of Frazzetta-esque? That poster seemed more appropriate since they are the featured characters. I understand why LionsGate put the most popular characters on the cover....but anyone who hasnt seen the film, will be suprised to find that Optimus, Grimlock, and Bumblebee are really just co-stars.
Anyway, the new art looks really good and I like it.

 

I like that the cover isn't just the standard original movie poster or new Hot Rod art or whatever. It helps set it apart from the numerous other releases this film has gotten. I agree that the "new" characters so heavily featured in the film should have made it on the cover somewhere, but I actually enjoy seeing Optimus and crew so much that I don't even care. Like I said, it just makes me wish the movie had those guys in more than it did.

 

I always liked the Japanese poster art. I made this awhile back. Hopefully this new art will kick ass.

 

the new poster looks like its drawn by the same artist who drew that first pic with optimus facing off against Megs.

 

if it is, (figeuroa?) lets just hope he gets prime's rifle right this time.

is it just me, or does the japanese movie poster look like it has a STRIKING resemblence to the first star wars poster?

I remeber reading on one of the boards that the cover is soppost to be one of those changing one when you look at it from a different angle. If there still going with it, maytbe this is one image, then when you change angles, it will reveal all the new characters Rodimus in Primes place, Galvatron in Megs place and so forth.
