Me: "gee I dunno you guys they haven't said anything about a super bowl spot yet so..."
Everyone: "NO. SHUT UP. IT'S GONNA HAPPEN."

    Now look at us lol

Seriously though, I'd be shocked if they choose 'watch over 'formers

Their billion dollar franchise that they are hoping to start a cinematic universe or another 90s tv show remake...

I know which one I'd go with.

If we had to pick between one or the other though, Transformers all the way.

That's EXACTLY why Paramount might put a commercial out for it instead of TF5.

It kinda makes sense if they want to try and earn a bunch of money off both of these movies, instead of focusing on just Transformers. Especially here in America, where the box office numbers for TF movies may very well slowly decline as the years go on.

Not a lot of people know what transformers is or know that there making a new one. At least bay watch has some big actors in it. All TF has is whalberg and epps

You make a fair point. TF is a big franchise, but these days there a lot of other big franchises too. It's easy for average moviegoers to get lost in this world of sequels and cinematic universes.

I'm pretty sure Paramount is gonna go over the one thats gonna make them most money. Even if Baywatch ends up being the better film, Transformers is MUCH more marketable.

Yeah, considering that one film is based on a 90's show about lifeguards while the other is about a series of toys that consist of transforming robots.

Not sure what the ratings will be this year but I know I'm skipping the Super Bowl. The ads haven't been that great in a while so there is no longer that feeling of best most creative ads going at it for ad of the year you want to talk to others about. I don't watch the Patriots play so I'm not breaking from that just for the Super Bowl. I might catch the half time show and that's it.

On the bright side for the studios people not watching the trailer ad during a live sporting event isn't such a big deal because if an ad is good people are just going to watch it on their smart phone, computer, streaming TV or all the other ways we have to see it at a later time. Almost seems like trending is almost more important than where you see it for the first time.

So, giant alien robots in a war vs lifeguards.

You arent exactly selling me here if youre trying to make me go for Baywatch.

Are some people seriously thinking Baywatch is gonna get a spot and not TLK?? That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

I'm 100% sure it's for Transformers The last Knight because Baywatch already has 2 trailers and the latest one was released on the 9th of January.

Baywatch needs the promotion more than TLK does.

I seriously hope they don't skip out on a superbowl spot this year. In a Bayformers year I love sittin' back waiting for the spot to drop during the breaks.

    Don't ruin the tradition Paramount.
