Check it out, lads and lasses. Found it.
It's so fucking awesome. I need it.
hopefully one of those 20% off coupons pops up soon. Its kinda weird how all of these exclusives are just trickling out 1 at a time. I figure TRU of all places would have some kind of display in time for the movie with everything available.
Don\'t need this one, I still have the original TF Cybertron tv show edition with head of Unicron
I'm not digging the price tag but if I see it on the shelf I'm probably not gonna say no.
Man, this thing was $60 the first time around. Hell of a mark up, even considering inflation and such.
It's a great fig, I still have and enjoy my Cybertron Primus. But at the $150 Titan class price point? No thanks.
Would you say he's leader class size or bigger? He's badass but I don't know about $150 badass. I'll have to see some in hand pics with alt mode.
Erggg, those anti theft things are irritating. They trash the boxes to all hell. Why not just put a picture up and make you go to the pit, like how they used to do with video games
I still want it just for those coors, but $150.....
Far bigger. He's about as tall as Energon Omega Supreme who's taller than stuff like Titans PMOP and Sixshot.
A more recent comparison would be something like a CW combiner.
About this big, boss!
So this mold has tripled in price in 11 years. Holy Christ...
I am really looking forward to sales reports of anything related to Transformers: The Last Knight. These price increases have just about lost me as a casual collector anymore. $20 got you a hefty Voyager figure 10 years ago; would even get you a semi-hollowed out one 5 years ago. Nowadays you're lucky if you get a fiddly new-scale deluxe.
The original version was released under the old Supreme Class price point, which was larger than 2005 Leaders... which are larger than 2017 Leaders.
Is there a bio on the back? Interested to see if they've just shoved this in the TLK line or if it actually lends itself to the movie somehow.
Kudos! That's a mighty fine assemblage of awesome figures Speedjolt! TEE HEE! I own ALL of those too! Brave Max & HK Titan Metroplex are my BIG BOYS, Centerpieces of my Collection, and I own three Unicrons: Armada, Black Energon, & G1 Anniversary. I am a very fortunate & grateful Transformers Collector!
Does anyone have the item number to track availability at store sites?
Its not online yet.
There is NO justification for that price tag. NONE...so don't try. Saying something is premium does not make it so.
This toy was designed by a group of people...heck, I wonder if anyone is still around from then.
The design work? Done years ago. The tooling? Paid for long ago...and you can't say paint either...sorry...
I can see maybe...maybe 79.99....but 150 bucks?
I'm interested in a side by side review of the plastic quality...
It's great if people feel excited about this...I wish it had some translucent parts or sumthin...but it's just another
"Platinum edition" style cash grab.
I talked to a very honest Hasbro employee at Botcon...he basically said people would pay for stuff that was labelled as a premium item. Labelled.
If they relaunched the commemorative series it would probably be 100 bucks for an Autobot car...or some other shenanigans...
Hasbro product code (aka "model number") C2026.
Don't have the UPC barcode yet.
Well, yes. Some of the recent reissues are close to $100, when they were first reissued back in the mid 2000's they were about half price.
I don't know why so many people are surprised at the price tag and surprised figures cost as much as they do. Everything goes up. Anyone remember when the first series of classics deluxes were about $7 - 8 dollars, and the jump to $9.99 or $10.99 in some areas freaked us all out?
Deluxes are anywhere from $15 and up, unless you have a good Walmart to discount it a bit.
Now would be a good time to point out if you go to eBay you can score a complete Primus for anywhere between $60-80 from the looks of things. (Box optional).
So if this mold interests you but you're indifferent on colors...now may be a good time to take a look there before they get wind of this.
My dad remembers the days you used to be able to go to a movie for a quarter.
And do you know why it's called "Nickelodeon"? I'll give you a hint: Ask anyone over 70.
Nickelodeon. Before it was a kids channel.
