If the films were any good I wouldn't mind them being 4 hours long!!!

 

Having a shorter runtime and a bigger budget means a lot more cgi. Hopefully that means more robot focus.

 

I searched Transformers The Last Knight runtime it showed up as 3 hours and 2 minutes i think Michael Bay is joking  

 

I feel like maybe 1 minute is too long for this movie.

 

Don't believe a single thing user-edited Google, iMDB, cinema chain sites, even Wikipedia pages say until OFFICIAL ratings from OFFICIAL film classification companies/websites are publicly released/confirmed.

I don\'t know if this is a good thing. Feels like there is a lot of story in this movie to tell.

 

2 hours and 20-something minutes should be more than enough time to tell the story. 1:45 should be enough, in all honesty.

 

Ok but every cinema in my area is all saying the same thing 2 hours and 28 minutes. Which really sounds like a legit time to me.

Had they thought about asking Bay first before posting, they wouldn't have had to update all the articles. One the other hand, a negative-turned-positive free publicity  

 

That and Michael Bay's comment about the length seems pretty reasonable to think that it is indeed the correct running time.

 

That would be 15min longer than the new Spider-Man and 10min longer than GOTG V2 and as long as CA:CW. Can't complain.

 

How would you know that, are you the director? Hen you cut the film down too much then you end up with plot holes and unexplained parts of the movie and then you'd have fans wanting a director's cut. In fact people right now want a director's cut of the last films.

 

I've seen enough movies to know which ones suffered from being too long.

That's why you hire competent writers and directors. Those issues tend to get weeded out during the filming process.

When I went to get tickets tonight, AMC had the movie listed for 2 hours and 28 minutes long. Not sure how official that is but it's probably at least more official than any other source so far and it fits with what Bay tweeted yesterday.

 

Yeah, 2:30 is a lot better than 3:05. As much as I enjoy the movies for what they are, I can't do 3 hours of these.

 

Ya, that's shorter than the last 3, but longer than TF1, completely consistent with the Bay's tweet. Plus, that seems like a perfect runtume for this movie!
