No way. I'm not much of a betting person but I would absolutely bet on you being wrong. We've seen mere glimpses of these scenes and there is no way they are just going to have 3 second action scenes.

Maybe the next movie that's not a spinoff will see that happen. We've heard about the Bee prequel, the Cybertron prequel, and the Rome prequel, but still nothing of the sequel.

The whole point of quoting the Roman storyline beat is to show that even if the writers are getting TFs off planet in dribs and drabs, they're obviously not committing to getting them away from Earth for the long haul.

Also, as I just stated, it's frustrating that even this little bit of off planet action has taken this long to get to, and I personally have no interest in waiting out another 5 years for it to finally become the focus of the movieverse.

Alien robot world building is notoriously thin in these movies, and since they're still not mining the human-robot comparisons for anything remotely thoughtful, getting the TFs into a larger, galactic environment seems the only way of squeezing anything smarter out of this series.

Maybe, but I don't have much faith. I'd be happy to be wrong though.

Hasbro and Paramount are exactly why I think it will happen. Their track performance thus far has not been good in recent history.

Exhibit A: Jem and the Holograms, a.k.a. the biggest high-budget box office flop in decades.

As opposed to saying what? The interview is as much promotion as a commercial spot. They're not going to say the movie is garbage.

Why the movie should be gardbage? You can't use the previous movies as a proof.
And I was talking about Transformers 6.

    You're missing my point.

My point is that they're not going to say anything less than praise for their efforts in something like this. But just because they say shit is improving doesn't mean it actually is.

It's like believing M. Night Shamalayan when he said that The Last Airbender was a good film he made.

    @Lord Ultron @tonyformer @eagc7 @Shizuka
Clearly Optimus was referring to his group of autobots from TF1/TF3 (Ratchet, Ironhide and Bee etc.).
And when Optimus says "Since the years from our arrival" that, to the average moviegoer means since the events from TF1. The other quote "earth our new home" is also vague because they've been on earth longer than 10 years.

Now that we know they've been involved in human conflicts/wars throughout human history, "years" is an understatement.

Not every person that watches these movies are spending the time trying to connect the dots with these stories. They will just judge the story for themselves and start to see some inconsistencies.

Surely CGI animated, the only way to enhance the design of the robots.

I would love a Decepticon spin-off. But what I want most, is a Megatron spin-off.

The point is: people don't realize that Autobots and Decepticons aren't the only Transformers in the whole universe.

lol and that's wrong. Hasbro has to sell the characters as one or the other. The entire franchise is founded upon this binary fact.

    Not so true at all.
In AOE, the main villain is Lockdown, and he isn't a Decepticon, the toys maybe consider him as a Decepticon, but the movie doesn't, and this is a fact.
The Knights of Cybertron aren't Autobots, the toys show that symbol on the packagings, but this doesn't change that they aren't Autobots in the movie.
Even the original Primes aren't Autobots.
The Creators/Quintessons? They aren't Decepticons, but they are the main villains of The Last Knight and very known characters.
Unicron isn't a Decepticon, but he is one of the most iconic villains in the various incarnations.

Autobots and Decepticons are the basics of the Transformers, they are in every incarnation, but this doesn't mean that they will not expand the mythology of the Transformers, showing things before Autobots and Decepticons, characters that aren't necessarly to do this these two factions.
