I'm just curious to know how they are going to do Drift and Crosshairs for TLK toy line. I'm hoping they do new molds, but something tells me they are going to be the same molds from AOE toy line. Corsshairs definitely. But I just hope for a new mold with a better Trench Coat. I can totally predict they will resell AOE Drift, just repainted and new hood and torso parts. I also predict they are going to rerelease Lockdown. Only they would remold it into Hot Rod. What do you think?

I've kind of wondered about this as well, but I've been thinking more about the dinobots. I dough their appearance would have changed much at all from AOE. Perhaps they get more accurate colors then before. Also maybe Crosshairs and Hound will be reissues. Their appearances don't seam to change much either.

I think Drift will be a new mold since his vehicle mode has changed but that still does not rule out a possible repaint of his AOE mold or other DOTM and AOE molds being repainted/reissued.

It will certainly be interesting to see what Takara does this time around.

I had no problem with the Drift mold in AOE. It was straightforward and got the job done. A bit panelformery, but worked. All they'd really need to do is recolor and reshell some of it. The inner robot should be able to stay the same. That said, there's a chance they'll make a new mold. Perhaps the car company will require it.

As for Crosshairs, I'm a fan of the current mold, all it really needs is a premium paint job and perhaps the rubber bits replaced with hard plastic ones. I'd have no problem with them doing that. They're going to have so many new molds and characters to worry about, I can deal with a few reuses.

I'm hoping they do more with Hot Rod than use the Lockdown mold. They seem to be slightly different cars and they don't look like they transform the same way, so I'd imagine the toy will reflect this somewhat. If anything, I think Hot Rod will become the new Bumblebee of the movie series. We'll get a ton of him in various colors and designs.

Each movie I always expect them to reuse the old version of a character with some minor changes, but they seem to always get new molds each movie. Hasbro's been doing more repaints/remolds with the generation lines, but I think movie stuff will keep getting new molds per movie.
