Nothing to see here, folks. Same IMAX featurette. Continue about your business.
Okay, what the hell does this phrase even mean? Let alone in this context?
He's saying that many fans feel entitled to things they were never promised; we were never promised a trailer this week by Bay, Paramount, or Hasbro. In this context it was revealed that a feature specifically for IMAX had been approved recently. Bay had previously revealed that there would be a teaser trailer in November/December. Many fans now thought that they were owed a full on teaser trailer this week. Instead we get a featurette that features footage from the newest and past films and interviews. Fans become disappointed that this was their "teaser trailer," when in actuality Bay confirmed that this was not the November/December teaser. This featurette is in addition to the teaser trailer that has yet to be released. Fans should be glad they got a featurette this early in addition to a teaser trailer presumably within the next month; there is no reason for anger since we were never promised a trailer this week.
God....a few days ago I was a bit disappointed, but now I can't help but laugh. All this confusion has gotten way out of control!!
This is the most fun I've had on these boards in years.
I'm sure I'll look back on this thread someday and laugh even harder than I am now.
The best part is: after 4 movies and 10 years, a lot of us are still as fervent as ever for this franchise.
This is literally what happens every time something new comes out. 'Realistic expectations' seems to be non-existent somehow even though after ten straight years of this, one would think people would figure this pattern out by now.
Despite all the apparent hate, and malice towards it. I still see tons of people excited as ever for this trailer. It's like an oxymoron if you ask me.
That, or an abusive relationship.
New stuff is exciting, and even though I'm around 98% sure this film wont be good, I'm still excited to see new footage.
98 is a little high, especially after knowing they fired Kruger and have an actual storyline to follow. The only potential things that could hurt this film's quality is Bay's usual unnecessary humor and poor editing.
Or too much faith in the writer's room. You know what they say about too many cooks and soup.
I'm seeing pics popping up on Instagram that shows a Snapchat image with the caption "See you next week!" Can someone please confirm so I can be disappointed again?
Honestly, I really want TF5 to be good, I just know it wont be. That being said, I'd love to be proven wrong.

Anybody who can access Snapchat, is this something from the official account?
I dunno, man...it does say Friyay instead of Friday...
(you're probably right, though)
I fucking knew someone would upload that. They're just simply saying "see you next week" because of transformers Tuesday or whatever. Guys. The trailer is coming in December. Chill.
Don't see why they gotta remind us to tune into TF Tuesday when we've always remembered to tune in every week in the past, but hey, whatever.
I don't disagree with ya, though. I'm keeping my cool this time lol
