"Much obliged Sunstorm. You are free to go." he coldly and emotionless replied. --- Stakeout looked at his left arm, where he activated his G.P.S display and saw the huge 3d layout of the underground complex. "Wow!" "Wow, indeed." Braver added "You've outdone yourselves!" Sideswipe glanced around the room they were in, it had a canteen, a gym and other places with probably even more down the different corridors. "What's the plan now? I mean, we've arrived and looked around the base, what's next for us?" he asked. --- "Retreating?" Slag asked "Not their style but it's possible. After all they got hold of one of our ship, which loaded with energon."
Inside the command room of the base underneath Debris, Saber calmly looked over the incoming reports from multiple battlefronts, while waiting for Optimus to step in and join him. He trusted the Autobot commander, as it was thanks to his efforts that his conjunx had been treated long enough to have a chance (however slim) of surviving the injuries she'd received from Overlord. Damn you to the Pit Overlord. He thought, his hand tightening around his forearm. ----- Springer chuckled. "Went down, but not out. You know us Wreckers are tough spawns of glitches. Managed to hold out there on my own until reinforcements arrived. Gotta admit, it was touch and go there for a few kliks (minutes), but once the cavalry came? My chasis was safe and sound. Sorry, but the news of my termination was, well, exaggerated to say the least." He said with a smile.
"Happy interrogating" Sunstorm says, ignoring Lugnut and flying out of the room. ===== "For now, make contact with Prime and inform them of our situation" said Blacker. "I'm sure Magnus will give us more orders when he gets up here." --- Magnus cuffs Dead End and gestures him to enter the cell. --- "Tell you what, start working on Caldera" First Aid said, gesturing to an Autotrooper with red and orange flame markings. ===== "Life of a Wrecker, I suppose" says Roadbuster. "So where were you serving, anyway?" he asks. --- Bumblebee and Strafe follow, but the elevator door gets shut in front of them. "Shouldn't have wasted that much time" Bee said as Strafe punched the door, annoyed.
"Right now, we'll wait for Ultra Magnus and Treadbolt to return from Toraxxis. I've heard that they're on their way." Optimus replied "If you don't want to wait, you can always go and explore the base, check your barracks room location, or get yourself accustomed to the underground setting." --- Hot Rod stayed with Roadbuster and Springer on the top floor of the base. "Say... if the Wreckers are reuniting, is there a place for, you know who, to join you?" Hot Rod said nonchalantly, of course talking about himself. --- "It bizarre indeed." Grimlock detached from the anti-aircraft cannon and stroked his cheek "I should report that to Magnus." He then walked out of the room. --- The soldier nodded and sent the Debris HQ a signal that they were coming. --- Dead End walked inside the cell without saying anything. --- "On it." Laster replied, walking over the other table and preparing to operate on the soldier.
"I was stationed near Tetrahex. Went down over Rodion trying to escort a messenger to the commander there, but (un)luckily, the 'cons considered me a bigger target. The messenger managed to get to command and was even the reason I got out of that mess." He said, then hearing Hot Rod's implication. "Being a Wrecker ain't exactly all it's cracked up to be, kid. Yeah, we used to get the best of the war, but most forget we also got the worst. There's a reason there's so many names on that mural, and it's not because our ranks were stuffed to the brim. We've got a damned high mortality rate. Much as I hate to say it, it might've been good that the Wreckers got disbanded. Less wide-eyed newbies getting killed before they even learned how to shoot." He said with a bit of regret in his voice. ----- Seeing that Optimus was now inside the structure, but hadn't arrived yet, Saber decided to at least bring the Commander up to speed. He activated his comms, and tuned it to the public announcing system within the base. "Optimus Prime, this is Star Saber requesting your presence in the war room. I'd like to discuss some of the situations we are facing in the sky," he said, disengaging his connection to the PA system for now, and turning back to the incoming communications from the aerial forces.
Shockwave put Scattershot on a surgical table and attached needles to his head. "These will slowly penetrate your skull, until it enters your brain module, allowing me to study your thoughts. It will be painful and traumatic but we'll make something of you." Shockwave stated. --- Stakeout overheard Springer, Roadbuster and Hot Rod's discussion. "Do you need more guys in your team? I'm willing to lend a hand, I was told that I'm a good scout." "Don't bother." Braver coldly stated "They won't accept you nor will they consider you. The Wreckers are just a shell of their former self and their leader is nothing, especially now that Kup's missing." Blades looked at his 3d map and saw thay his barracks were on the other side of the main complex, his room was labeled 3-C and was to be sharing it with at least 10 more people. "I'm going to head to check the barracks, if you don't mind." he told Optimus. --- Prowl walked into the command room of the facility. "Ah, Saber, you've returned. I gather, your fight went well?" he asked, placing some datapads on the round table in the center, which also could be turned into a holographic map. --- Slag walked after Grimlock. "Where're you going, Grimlock?" he asked.
Saber simply nodded at the question Prowl had posited, and activated one of the comms noting an incoming signal from Toraxxis. "Looks like Magnus and the others stationed at Toraxxis will be returning soon, and with a defecting Decepticon with them. Unfortunately, Treadbolt has made the ultimate sacrifice for the Autobot cause. Seems he was fighting Overlord to give the others time to escape." A dark cloud loomed over Saber's visage for a moment, before he refocused and began examining the datapads. "Any news from the other fronts Prowl? I heard we were having some trouble in other cities while Iacon was besieged. I wish I could've been there to help, but my forces and I were just too far and too occupied to aid. What about you?" he asked the strategist. ---- Springer overheard Braver's comment, and frowned. "Just be careful who you say that around, Blacker. I'm willing to swallow some bitter energon, but you say that around the likes of our former leader? You'll get a fist to the face," he warned.
"Without a leader, there's no reunion" said Roadbuster. "We need to know what happened to Impactor." ===== Ultra Magnus activates the energy bars, and heads for the bridge. Arriving he nods at Blacker, and looks at the officer on the bridge. "Update me, Captain" he says to the officer talking to Blacker. --- First Aid began fixing up Cliffjumper. He then tried to bring Cliffjumper online to assess if he was in pain, or if he was ready to patch up.
Scattershot began screaming from the needles that insterted themselves into his skull. --- Optimus heard Saber's request and he turned to his team. "I'm needed for something in the command room. If there is any problem or if Magnus arrives, be sure to give me a call." He transformed and drove off down one of the corridors, which led to another elevator. Optimus transformed and got in, he pressed the button for the level below this one and headed down. When he got to the other floor, he got out of the elevator, headed left on the first intersection and the command room was on his right. He entered the room and greeted Star Saber and Prowl. "What am I needed for, Saber?" he asked. --- "To notify Magnus of the Decepticons' actions." he replied as he entered in the bridge "Magnus did you saw that?!" --- "He's probably fine. It's Impactor after all." Hot Rod exclaimed. --- Cliffjumper was active and heavily breathing, probably having internal leaking. Laster took off the soldier's chestplate and observed the damage. "Nothing unrepairable. It'll take a while to fix you, soldier. Tell me what happened to you?" he tried making small talk with the soldier, to keep him awake and occupied, while he worked. --- Straxus' ship, followed by other ships and shuttles, landed on the west side of the Kaon landing zone, which was like one huge rectangle filled with Decepticon ships.
Saber handed a datapad over to Optimus Prime. "Latest report of enemy activity, sir. Decepticon fleets have begun advancing further since Toraxxis and Iacon fell. No approaches near Debris, though. Seems that they still don't suspect our new base of operations, thank the Allspark, but Treadbolt has passed. Also, you may want to know this: Ultra Magnus and his company will be returning with a Decepticon defector. Should we have him moved to a facility away from Debris? It is perhaps our best option," Saber remarked. He looked over to Prowl, who probably had overheard the news of the defector. "Your thoughts, Prowl?" he asked. ---- "Yeah. That's kinda what's got me worried," Springer muttered to Roadbuster. "Anyway, you wanna check out the rest of the facility? Heard Prime's somewhere here already, but you wanna check out the rest of the place?" He asked.
"Did they really respond that fast? I mean, sending the message and we receiving it." Prowl wondered, knowing that at war times like this, sending a message no matter how far or close, depends on the strength of the communications systems. For this reason he was surprised that they've received an update so soon. "I stayed here and remained in control of the facility, while Prime was in the Decagon defending it and you were... in Nyon, I believe?" Prowl stroke his chin "I've observed every battle going on at the same time, here in the command room. Too many losses, too many casualties. That's my conclusion." Prowl was happy to see that Optimus was still in one piece. "How's the situation there, Prime? I've prepared a report for most ongoing battles, if you want to see. Toraxxis is a special case of its own, with more information coming in any minute." --- "Impactor is to blame for everything that happened to Blocker, Piston and Rotor-" he stopped, starting to tear up. He was upset that once he and his Conjux - Rotorstorm, applied and really wanted to join the Wreckers but only Rotorstorm got accepted. Which costed his life, for that reason Braver blamed everything at his bad luck and Impactor's poor leadership. Especially after Kup's disappearance. --- When the needles were finally deep enough, Shockwave stopped them and Scattershot went into comatose-like drug state. The Decepticon looked at the screen, which now showed Scattershot's brain processor's activity. He planned to study it and experiment with the much planned gestalt technology. Scattershot's brain and knowledge would be what he needs to succeed in this branch. He waited to get notified that Straxus has arrived, so to call Megatron and Overlord to his lab. ((Guys, could you get those two mechs notified?))
Counterpunch transforms back into Punch form and hands her the sword "Got it." --- Impactor walks near the cell that the detected con is now within "Tell me, off record, why did you defect?"
"What do you suspect Prowl? That the Decepticons have infiltrated our communication systems?" Optimus aksed. --- "What did we get?" Smokescreen wondered. --- Dead End, who was resting against a wall, looked up towards Impactor. "Huh... me? I had no other option. It was either this or death, and I don't want to die. And you could use more soldiers, especially after today. I know that you may think that I'm a spy or a traitor but believe me, the Decepticons wouldn't send a guy like me for such a job. Though I won't be surprised if your faction is already compromised." he replied. --- ((Sure CR, I'll do it.)) As Straxus walked out he was met by a soldier waiting for him. "Excuse me sir but Shockwave requires Overlord to come to his lab." "Right now?" "Yes." "Alright." he turned to the soldiers walking out "Let him now that Shockwave needs him." Some of the soldiers nodded and went back into the ship to notify him. Meanwhile a soldier knocked on Megatron's door. Moments later it was opened and Megatron saw the soldier. "Shockwave asked for your presence in his lab." the soldier explained. "Of course. I'll be there in a bit." Megatron replied. --- Hot Rod nodded. "Let's look what this base is about, since Optimus is really proud of it."
"Saw what?" asked Magnus as he boarded the bridge. "And what's our ETA?" --- First Aid quickly found where the leak was, and quickly patched it up. "Sorry about that, it's the best way to find a leak" he said. "Don't worry, we have fresh energon pumping into you. So, any better?" ===== "Death is an occupational hazard" says Roadbuster. "I thought you'd have learnt that by now. So learn to deal with it. Shit happens." Bee and Strafe got into the next elevator that arrived to take them down. "Guys, I think we should go see what Prime's talking about" Bee calls out down the corridor." "Looks like we got a team meeting" Roadbuster says. ===== Arcee takes the sword. "You heard the Prowl-a-like, Punch, what data do we have on Decepticon ship movements?" she asks. ===== Overlord angrily walks to Shockwave's lab, still a charred frame with no armour. "What is it, cyclops?" Overlord asks. He looks over at Scattershot. "Do you wish me to squish his tiny processor?" he asks. --- Soundwave gets on comms to Megatron. "Lord Megatron, should I debrief our forces on the battle" he communicated as he strokes Ravage. Wingthing, meanwhile, was simply flying about the room.
Hearing someone talking near him, Wideload slowly woke up, and, after seeing a purple and yellow bot outside talking with someone in the next cell, rose up from the floor and shouted at both of them. "Hey, you two! Mind to talk somewhere else and give me a chance to sleep? I had enough of those two noisy fembots yesterday, who annoyed me with their sweet talk and squeaky voices..and now you two don't let a bot like me a moment of silence and tranquility in his cell." he then grumbled to himself. "Should've just stay away from places like this, always knew that both Autobots and Decepticons are pieces of slag who turned our world into a pile of junk I and others need to clean up after them.."
Shockwave turned and greeted Overlord. "I'm glad your circuitry is still functional albeit your armor is dissolved. But fear not, I have just the right thing." he walked over to a chamber, which looked like a bigger modified cryopod "This will make you stronger and your armor tougher. It'll render you virtually indestructible by infusing your endoskeleton and body srmor with unutrium. You will be the first true Phase Sixer for Megatron's endgame plan." --- Blades entered his barracks room, which right now was nothing but empty beds, no one was around. "Guess I'm the first here." he thought. --- Stakeout and Braver stood there wondering what to do. "Shall we eat, explore, do something?" Stakeout asked. Sideswipe started walking down a corridor. "Let's go and see the shuttle bay. I'm wondering how big it is, since Optimus said it's on the other side of the border regions and Stanix wastes. It's deeper into the complex and the map shows it as a big and wide area, for many smaller and bigger ships to be stationed there. Including the Xantium, which I found."
"The goddamn 'cons are retreating!" Grimlock replied. --- Laster finished patching up the soldier. "You'll be alright but lay low for the next few astro-cycles." he patted the soldier on the back, then turned to First Aid "How's it going on your side?" --- "Buster, what's your plan now?" Hot Rod asked "Got anything in mind? I need some food and recharging, since this whole day drained the entirety of me." --- "Prowl-a-like?!" Smokescreen touched his face "Are we that similar?" he whimpered. --- Megatron walked down to Shockwave's lab, as he went down an elevator he replied to Soundwave. "Prepare a report and leave it in my quarters, I'll go through it after I see what Shockwave needs me for." When the elevator stopped, he exited it, walked to Shockwave's laboratory and entered it. "What do you require me for, Shockwave? Be brief, I need to recharge my batteries." Megatron said in an ordering tone.
Punch loses his smile "What I found was startling data on altering a mech current state. They are experimenting on enhancing themselves." --- Impactor glares at wideload before turning to Dead End. "I may have a way to talk Magnus into letting you on a team. But it isnt the most.... conventional of teams."
Seeing Impactor's optics looking at him, Wideload gruffed to himself. "If they think that throwing looks at people like me make them look any more threatening than thugs in Polyhex, then MAYBE they should rethink their lives."
