Crazy that online orders have still not shipped from target

 

woohoo! Found two and grabbed them. One for me, one for the kids! Glad I found it locally, since Target for some reason wouldn't allow me to preorder.

 

Pulse says 4/10 so it's possible stuff got to the stores early but wasn't actually street dated.

 

Wonder if nonnef or other company will make a conversion kit to convert Jazz to another bot. The faux chest is removable and the head looks like it can be popped off.

 

That would be a very cool option for kitbashers.

 

Which character(s) do you suggest would be possible if someone did that?

 

The car bots using Jazz as a generic base.

The Datsuns have window shins and door wings.

I think Sideswipe or a fembot would be be better with a chest retool.

Without one, I could see Rad or Stepper/Ricochet. I'd honestly be very tempted by a Ricochet from this mold with a Battlemaster.

Ricochet and Artfire always stuck out like sore thumbs to me both as Targetmasters (which were mostly futuristic) and being 70s/80s vehicles in the 2010s (except in Marvel).

 

Doesn't bother me since this is a cybertron mode. Maybe there might be some painting involved but new heads and faux chest would be a good start.

 

Looks like Pulse has some of the canceled cybertron Jazz orders up for sale.

Anyone know the screw size for the screw used in Jazz’s legs? Mine came missing one. Have contacted customer service but wanted to ask as well. Thanks

 

I love this figure! I know the panel-ish transformation is a little nerve wracking but the final results look great. Great robot mode and great alt mode. Definitely would want more of the Sunbow Pre-Earth modes. New designs for those characters that never had their Cybertronian alt mode shown.

And real, mother trucking, tetra jets please!

 

What's wrong with the siege ones there perfect

 

They are very nice, but they aren't perfect.

I do suspect though that improvements may be beyond the reach of Hasbro's budget.

 

Siege Tetrajets are awesome— one of the best (if not best) mainline Seeker molds. But… it’s not a “true” Sunbow Tetrajet.

Maybe what I’m asking is for a slight improvement on already awesome design. But when I look and hold Origins Jazz— it definitely feels like that Sunbow design got plucked from the cartoon. Its smooth, shiny and clean 80s futuristic design is not mistakable for Siege or anything else.

Siege Seekers are inspired by Sunbow Tetrajets but are not Sunbow Tetrajets. I crave for more of that smooth, buttery Sunbow cartoony aesthetic. I would re-buy the entire G1 cast if they all got the level of quality of design and articulation that Origins Jazz got.

 

How on earth are they going to make a true tetrajet that transforms and looks decently in bot mode? Probably commander class price point.
