Voyager is a pricepoint, not necessarily related to height. Same thing with leader. Enough have accepted that, there’s already no going back.
All that remains is if you choose to buy the figure or not. But remember that not buying it changes nothing for Hasbro, it only means whether or not its in your collection.

I've kind of given up on Deluxes for most part anyways. Quality/Articulation is hit or miss and they are usually just too small and have no shelf presence.

Jazz was discounted? WTF. He came and went fast from what I saw. Now blue Bluestreak on the other hand? Felt like they ordered a million of him. I got a couple preordered when they went up, a few more in two different sales online, saw them in actual stores (a bit outside my area but still), found them at Ollies, etc. Couldn't trade them for anything though.

Jazz was discounted in stores before the backordered online preorders even went out. It was one of Target's more notable Ls last year

So what is the latest on Origins Wheeljerk(my nick for him since i haven't been able to purchase him in the US)?! Is he trickling in Target's at all in-store(I don't fully trust the app/site info)? I aint going the eBay route. Indemand still has him for £27.49, but ship cost to US is £17. I'm feeling FOMO, should I purchase or try to get lucky with Tarshey!

Origin Wheeljack has been spotted in stores all week. No longer register locked! Check the sightings thread for your area for the latest local details.

I feel really dumb but after two hours of fiddling with his blast shield, I stall haven’t figured it out.

Did you read the manual? I had to tell that to someone earlier when they complained of misassembly.

Anyhow, the straight configuration is for the, uh, road configuration, which is how it's packaged. You take it apart and reassemble for the blast shield / wings mode. The side pieces go to the other side when changing modes. The picture below shows the blast shield setup.

I posted this earlier in another thread:

For the wing / shield panels, the hinges on the female end have small notches, so they're only supposed to be removed one way to avoid damage. In this orientation with 'hollow' side facing up, bend wings 90 degrees and pull straight up (arrow). The stock panels come in the linear configuration. They need to be re-arranged for alt mode.

Greetings everyone. I created this account to ask a question about origins Wheeljack. I just received mine in the mail, and the backpack has some noticeable cracks on both hinges as seen in the attached photos. I was wandering if any of your copies of the figure also has this issue, or if it is a problem with mine specifically. Thanks in advance for any responses. thumbnail_IMG_5673.jpg thumbnail_IMG_5674.jpg thumbnail_IMG_5675.jpg thumbnail_IMG_5676.jpg

I'm still trying to find him, but yikes what an eerie feeling that must be! I'm just guessing that it was a plastic defect and just from normal stress it cracked like that. I know it would be hard to get a replacement, but hopefully you can get a refund.

He's a Deluxe because that's the size he's supposed to be. He's $35 because he's very complex with a ton of panels to accommodate his large vehicle mode into a small robot mode.

Agreed. And yes, people are willing to pay for this kind of thing (the first onscreen Transformer of the first episode of the first cartoon series).

And his alt only has to transform like that because they set out to fulfill the one thing we all wanted: To fit Bee inside. If he doesn't do that odds are they probably pull it off at Deluxe. (And that's not a complaint)

It's honestly a miracle of engineering. Sorta the reverse of how a number of smaller vehicle alts will unfold to reveal a taller bot

You got a dud. Ask for a refund. No one else has reported this yet.

Oh, for sure. The gimmick necessitates his price.

I get the higher price, but I think they should have kept him a Deluxe and charged more $30-35, just like they did for Legacy Red Cog.

Just go to the Target sight and pull up the product page for Origins Wheeljack. They will have the TCIN # listed in the specification details.
