Transformers Takara boxset question?

    Does the takara series come after or before the rebirth?No spoilers please and also is it a third party transformers series or does hasbro recognise the series ?

    The three takara series (headmasters,masterforce,victory) occur after the return of optimus prime episode (last season 3 ep). the rebirth was completely replaced by headmasters for its run in japan. Hasbro do recognise the series as part of transformers but as far as i know its pretty much japan only in terms of continuity.

    As Walruslaw says, it actually *ignores* "The Rebirth," and picks up one year after the end of Season 3 instead. It's not a "third party" series, being that it was made in Japan by the people responsible for Transformers over there, but at the same time, it's not generally acknowledged by Hasbro because it's not part of the American animated continuity for the series.

    Yeah, probably because it's so totally different in terms of how it treats the headmaster concept for instance...
