What would be a good combo between the Robots in disguise and the superdudes of DC or Marvel?

Definately none. Autobots and Decepticons are soldiers, for CYBERTROOOON! Well, except for the Decepticons.

I despise crossovers now. Sometimes its cool to see optimus prime take on storm shadow. But when duke or captain america are having a conversation with no tfs anywhere around. I get irritated becuase I just want to see transformers in action.

Some cross-overs are not bad ideas at times, I actually have cross-over concepts. But some cross-overs just don't work out well. Superheroes and TF's definately don't.

    Are lame.

They always sound cool, but the execution is consistently subpar. Add to that the fact that they never have main continuity implications, and they're weak.

EDIT: You know what was awesome, though? OWAT's Star Trek/TF fanfic. Read just like a two-part episode, and it worked. Really well.

    Giant Man?

    Metallo?

    Impossible Man?

The plausible options are actually pretty limited....

Because we all know for a cross over to work, the Super Heroes have to be the same size as the Transformers...

If they could ever get a writer for Marvel or DC who could do this and give it writing on par with Green Lantern: Rebirth, then everyone would be clamoring for crossovers.

I think it'd be awesome. I've thought about it, and would like to see Prime/Superman, Batman/Mirage, Hot Rod/Flash, Sideswipe & Sunstreaker/Hawkman & Hawkgirl, Bumblebee/Green Lantern, Cliffjumper/Spider-man, Devastator vs. Hulk to name a few. I think the possibilities are endless, but it would have to be done just right. It would be super-cool, IMO, if it were pulled off though.

Everything is cool up until this: "Bumblebee/Green Lantern". NONONONONONO

Bumblebee paired up with GL? WHY? Green Lantern belongs with someone like....I dunno...

Actually lets leave GL alone, he's too badass to be paired up with a TF.

are you pondering a crossover where the transformers actually take on roles in a alternate parallel universe? That would be cool. I'd support it to a point. The star wars transformers for example retain no personality of the transformers and are just the star wars dudes in mech suits. (very bad)

It's got to have enough of a balance so we can still identify them as the transformers characters while the modifications are proportionate enough to the alternate reality that we get their roles.

I'm thinking of pairings that would have the most in common, and work the best together because of those commonalities. The Transformers would totally be the incarnations we know from G1(in my mind), and would partner up with the most relevant super-hero.

I think that Bumblebee would be the perfect match with the Green Lantern Corps because he's fearless. In terms of the transformers, if the Guardians were to send a ring to their sector of space, I think it would try and choose Bumblebee first. I also think that Bumblebee would be the most likely candidate to be strong in the Force, if we're going to talk SWTF.

I was thought of a crossover with TFS and superheroes, but it needs a good story to support that and it not well things could get boring pretty quick. But it would be awesome in my mind.

Some of this supehero talk is just sickening.

If I had to have super heroes though I would pick very low keyed powered individuals that would use the autobots like sentient powered armor. warpath/Punisher, Captain america/optimus prime, iron man/wheeljack etc.

I can't think of a good story to cross-over the TFs with any superheroes. The TF/Avengers was pretty lame. Superhero blood empoering robots? That doesn't make sense at all. It couldn't even be saved by a giant Iron Man.

I dunno. I thought all but the fourth GI:Joe vs. Transformers series were very well done. They all had interesting plots.

IDW TF/Avengers was pure fail - I've never been a fan of crossovers, especially when they went completely silly - X-Men vs ST:TNG, Batman vs Predator, Superman vs Aliens, etc..
