I might try re-purposing ER Starscream into Red Wing or Nacelle.

If anyone needs an idea to make sense in there minds to have both preceptors, I’ve had my TR preceptors on my wreckers shelf so the SS one will go with the season 2 shelf so they both serve a purpose. Did the same with T30 springer and siege springer and Generations Kup and SS kup

 

All the SS86 figures have the detailing that Perceptor does so that WFC, SS86, and Legacy can fit in together in a collection.

Also don't know if you've seen G1 Perceptor but...

LOL, that's hilarious. The deco isn't as involved as repainting TR Perceptor into Magnificus. Seems like changing all the teal into red/silver and then brown-wash the red on the bot. But Magnificus can be a Diaclone Micro Scope stand-in and looks more badass. Decisions, decisions....

I thought there were more remolded parts with Leader Screamer.

 

Only the hands are. Any remolding was purely people thinking there was and speculation.

 

Meh, just like the Sweep, I still don't feel the need to buy either. They went the cheap route with these, plus having to wait till April 2022 meaning any other new SS86 figures (SLUDGE, Junkyard and Rumble) won't likely release till late Summer or early Fall.

Percy is 10/10, Starscream is a still want.

 

I don't know about blocky but yeah the heavily sculpted details look out of place to me. For some reason I think people are angry about people thinking this.

Just checked my seeker display and Argh, ER Screamer is the only one with tail fin stripes. I admit I’m annoyed as this one seems to be the perfect mate to that pair.

 

oh yeah, 100% not saying they aren't there, just seem "lessened" like, 25% scaled back from the examples you posted.

if his red looked like this and his silver parts were silver, I think 90% of my issues would fade away.

 

The hype is real for me, but Perceptor is a little boring/uninspiring to look at in both modes since they committed hard to the G1 cartoon look.

I wish Starscream had hip rotation.

I’m committed to buying Perceptor, but if something unexpectedly awesome comes along and I need to squeeze $53 out the bum, 86 Starscream will probably be one the first items to be deleted from my toy budget spreadsheet.
