He’s not the best studio series figure, but I keep coming back to him over and over. The level of detail and sheer presence he exudes is astounding!

I hope someone releases a weapon pack for him though.

Yes! Your photos always look good.

    Weapon pack idea:
    • Hook
    • Gun
    • Gun-face
    • Green visor
C'mon, internet, let's make this happen! World Prime's demanded so!

Damn right! I wouldn't even mind some made-up weapons or attachments for him if they fit in with his aesthetic (and of course only if they do the ones you mentioned).

Yeah man same here! I've even brought him to class several times, he serves as a desk toy to distract me from the stress & tension lol.

Surely one of us Transformers fans knows a 3D printing guy who can design these things and toss em up on Shapeways or wherever. I don't know anyone and if I had my 3D printer I'd give a crack at making these myself. :p

I'm shocked they didn't have a notch in his head to use the existing face gun.

Also how does the sword fit into the figure? I don't remember him using it any more than the spark extractor or face gun

Did some more custom work on my Lockdown. Had to sacrifice one of Prime’s swords but I don’t feel like he needs two to represent his movie 1 self so it’s OK. The hook looks SO much better now that it actually protrudes from the hand area instead of either being on the forearm or on the top of the hand. I wish they had done it this way to begin with!

Well shit. Finally found Lockdown today, and he has two right side rear bumper pieces. And I bought him in a different town.

I will say, for what it's worth the figure is great. The detail is just superb. The articulation is serviceable. Not as limited as I was expecting, not as free as I hoped. Still penty of excellent poses. The vehicle mode (or at least the almost-vehicle mode mine is) is stunning. So far beyond PK. Which is the big point of contention. Despite the huge backpack, I honestly find this a better attempt than PK. This toy accomplishes more but does less. Even the articulation is superior. The alt mode is great, the 'bot mode oozes the character, and I find the accessories more useful. Just a damn shame mine had that defect.

That sucks! You should keep him though. Cut off all the kibble and make a movie-accurate non-transforming figure out of him, then get another one to keep transformable. I might do that once I actually see him at retail.

Nah, I'm just going to exchange it. Not paying $30 for an action master with no back. Besides, the backpack doesn't really bother me. I think because it's so dark and so solid and so clearly a backpack and not a malformed torso or something.

Maybe after peru kill I wanted hasbro to be more clever about the kibble and they went for a VERY standard carbot transformation which was a bit of a letdown. He's not super fun or interesting to transform. I still freaking love him though. Such incredible detail. What a cool design.

I know, this is only the second attempt at a true Lockdown figure, but in hindsight, it absolutely flabbergasts me why the first figure couldn't be this good. The AoE figure was an overcomplicated, fiddly mess with a Ctrl + C'd transformation from Roadbuster, and the one with the ridiculously basic and simple transformation is the infinitely better figure? I get that they made mistakes and learned from it, but... how does this happen?

You partially answered your own question there. However the other main difference is the ILM CAD files. Before they were just rushing to guess what a toy could look like based on some concept art. Now they have the 100% accurate final version from every angle and can copy it exactly to the best of their ability on a limited budget while still making it transform.

I was really going to skip this and just get Peru Kill, but the face is SOOO good on this. Hope my wal-mart makes it past wave 1 (which has been restocked four times now)

To someone who is more of a car guru...how does this lockdown car scale to hotrods car mode? I have them and they look close but lockdown is a bit bigger. Is that reflective of real cars?
