Not a fan of the "battle damaged weathering" paint jobs, but getting the Targetmasters is great!

That Optimus intrigues me. No obnoxious gimmick, looks very well designed, and the alt mode looks pretty wicked if not a bit OTT.
Now, will it replace the Classics one I love so much?
We'll see. As long as it doesn't feel as weak as the PotP version and the articulation is good, then it very well might.

Sideswipe looks pretty good as well. He's definitely on the 'maybe' list.

Targetmasters releasing in the US? Not spending $40 for the Takara versions to get them?
    YES PLEASE.

That Optimus looks like it was pretty heavily inspired by Maketoys Cross Dimension Striker Manus

Hmm. I'll reserve judgement until I see the actual unpainted versions on Walmart's shelves next March.

So target master are taking the primemaster price point which I'm good with so micromaster will be the legend price point and i'm happy prime is a voyager to go with my titans return megs I love this sideswipe though looks like it could be remolded into Overdrive.

    Why is it "RIP?"

These aren't leaked, they're straight from Hasbro. Meaning they wanted this out ahead of SDCC to generate buzz. I'm reminded of the original PotP announcement that hid (albeit poorly) the return of combiners.

So there's nothing saying this is "it" for SDCC. For all we know they're holding back the bigger reveal about something else that unifies the line.

    Targetmasters - bought
Sideswipe - looks quite interesting and possibly better than U2 mold which was oversized and kinda bad. Cautiously optimistic.
Prime - well, he's not awful and he's the right size class. But why? And why does his alt mode look like an Earth truck with ridiculous added details?

Could be. I would have been more excited personally if they revealed them at sdcc you are probably right with it being hype for sdcc though.

Disappointed to see the price increase, figures, I start collecting a few months ago & they're like let's make this difficult.

No interest in Sideswipe, & hopefully we get a Blowpipe Targetmaster so my Trigger-happy isn't so lonely. OP looks pretty awesome, might have to grab him just so I have one in my small collection.

Those modes look like cars from low-budget sci-fi movies where they add weird parts to the chassis to make regular vehicles look "futuristic". Bot modes are great though, although......I actually kind of got used to figures having a gimmick tbh.

With POTP Optimus out, I don't really have much of a desire at all for that Voyager Prime. Hm. First impression is that i'm kind of whelmed.
