This sideswipe is amazing

 

Targetmasters? A G1 voyager Optimus Prime that doesn't have an awful intrusive gimmick after over a decade? A Sideswipe with a less bad head sculpt than the Universe one? Sign me up.

The only thing I'm not a fan of are the ""cybertronian"" modes, but at least they still somewhat resemble actual vehicles and not the crap we had in the movies/games.

Well firebolt was renamed to firedive. Also says Spring 2019 release date so no Christmas launch for a new line I guess this year.

 

Targetmasters are very appreciated, especially with Bandai style effects parts.  
The figures themselves look good for the most part but primes truck mode is a bit fugly to my eyes.

 

These look super cheap.

also this reveal makes me wonder, maybe the brand unification came about in part because hasbro had targetmasters planned for this line and takara used them early? its definitely a possibility

 

So they're like cybertronian modes but not totally committed to it? Sideswipe's basically a mini mp swipe, and they both have "battle damage"

 

Want Sideswipe.

So, Targetmasters, Micromasters and more G1 style looks with less gimmickry.

I'm absolutely impressed. I really am. That said, this doesn't replace POTP Optimus for me. So, I'll be sitting this one out. Sideswipe, on the other hand... Oho.

so far ill probably be passing on both prime (prime is a solid maybe) and sideswipe, keeping the older ones, but targetmasters gives me hope that they arent just doing 84 guys and gives more credibility to the theory of punch/counterpunch being a pointblank pretool

 

These look really good! But it looks like they have the higher prices we've seen on the TLK and SS lines.

And Sideswipe is a deluxe that appears to have ankle tilt!

 

Both look amazing, best optimus voyager so far.
