Wal-Mart is such a piss poor company. I really don't want to have to pay $40 to get Bluestreak
If we end up paying $40 for Siege Bluestreak, watch to see him show up in stores for retail.
If we don't pay the $40, he won't be in stores and we'll miss out and he'll skyrocket in price.
Damn if you do damn if you don't. Frustrating for sure.
In this day and age, it should have been easy to have Siege Bluestreak be sold online through Walmart.com.
SDCC exclusives are the worst of the worst tho. I gave up instantly on a $15 Jurassic Park/World John Hammond on aftermarket for $200+ That's pure insanity.
Thankfully Entertainment Earth got a batch which they sold at $25 so I got lucky after the fact.
Walgreens exclusives aren't as easy either. Marvel Legends Emma Frost just showed up in a couple of Walmarts in my area.
I was able to get her today. No sign of Marvel Legends Dani Moonstar which is needed x3 due to extra heads for Karma and Wolfsbane who wear the same suit, basically 3x characters in 1x package but need to buy x3 to get them all on display. That's gonna be a pain lol.
No sign of Siege Ratchet yet either. Hopefully soon.
If he doesnt show up at retail he might show up at ross like hot rod in tlk
You know, I'm literally not gonna worry. I paid 38 bucks. That's just a 13 dollar mark up off retail, and I've secured one. Just gotta wait.
As far as Ratchet goes, at least in Portland, exclusives start hitting towards the end of October and in November around that time. Without fail, that's when I got Brainstorm and then the Clone two pack last year.
not worried about ratchet distribution, Walgreens has been shelf warming the clones and potp Terrorcon deluxes for over a year at many locations. its Walmart that is the one to be worried over. I hope they get more in stock because my collection wont feel complete without Bluestreak.
I'm really glad to be proven wrong!
Siege 35th figures endcap at Walmart
A Walmart 30 minutes from me is setting up their end-cap tonight (I checked in store a few minutes ago). Now we know why they can't fulfill all the preorders - they are using the allocation for in-store displays. To me that's a bad decision, screwing over already paid customers. I'll be going by my store tomorrow after its all set up and picking up the Bluestreak they refuse to ship, then cancelling my preorder.
Brick seek confirmed my Wal-Mart had it, went in, display wasn't up. Asked nicely and 20 minutes later the woman working in toys brought the mangled display our on a flat cart. I helped her set it up a little bit as thanks.
I got him, at retail price, scalpers eat by whole entire booty
If Brick seek says there's 6+ I would go, it's either been just put out or is going to be put out.
Don't be dicks to the employees working there btw, if you want to be a brat save it for the Manager at least.
Glad to have gotten Bluestreak at retail price. Dodged a huge bullet there. Phew.
Yeah,.....you and me both bro,......I have checked online and everyone is sold out now. I just want 1 really bad is all i want but not for extreme prices from resellers
keep checking the app for availability, that’s what I did and got all 4 of the 35th stuff
What code do I use to look for Soundblaster on Brickseek?
I don't have no app for walmart. I don't have a cellphone cause i have no use for a cellphone. I have my kindle but i have a desktop just don't turn it on much anymore since tablet is faster.
Change the zip code to yours
I think if more people were willing to pay a dollar more sometimes, we'd be swimming in this stuff. But when we're collectively squeezing every penny, it's just not an attractive proposition on the supply side.
When I started running a shop, the only question I had to answer was whether X was an interesting/quality product. As the years went on, more questions like "how long is Hasbro going to delay delivery to appease Walmart?" and "is this going to flood Ollies before my stock sells out?" started factoring into my decisions. Eventually, I had to take a hard look at one final question. If I can only stay in business by scalping (the real definition _and_ the I-dragged-my-feet-forever-and-missed-out definition), do I even want to bother? The answer was no. My observation is that alot of people who thought it'd be cool to do this ended up faced with that question. Some started emptying retail shelves, others jacked up prices to make it where they could, and the rest pushed the eject button.
Remember, the rule in retail is supposedly to double your money (not that it ever worked out that way for me). That's why $20 toys that some Walmarts occasionally stock if they feel like it turn into $40 toys on eBay/Amazon. If the distribution/retail model wasn't so fucking broken, the endpoints would be lower.
Just picked up Bluestreak & the others at a nearby walmart. Finally saw the endcap after looking in 4 different ones.
Found this on Thursday. I’m glad now it was never in-stock on the site for me, and I’m glad to be done with it.
Now to find Ratchet.
I ordered Bluestreak and picked up the package today. Big suprise when I opened it...
Super pissed now to waste time to see if they honor a return of the wrong product send. Urgh still have to find the elusive Bluestreak
On the other hand I got lucky with Ratchet and - Marvel Legends Dani Moonstar, - Clone Commander Obi-Wan Kenobi at Walgreens! And Jurassic Park Ian Malcolm, Velociraptor, - Power Rangers Goldar at GameStop!
It's Walmart that causes me the exclusives headache this time around.
I paid £19.99 for Bluestreak from In Demand Toys, same as Smokescreen. Should be arriving today or tomorrow. Zetar cost me more.
I was on Walmart.com Friday and happened to order a Bluestreak to my local store. The site wouldn’t let me deliver to my house. It was supposed to come Saturday but got delayed till Tuesday. It actually came Monday in a box in perfect shape! The Walmart I picked it up at did not have the 35th display up yet.
What the hell is with them putting a single slip of paper or airbag in these boxes?
