Blue core Prime is exactly why I’ll be picking this up. Bonus that he’s dad-bod.

 

I'm willing to bet that we will see an ER Optimus in mostly blue sooner or later as they need to keep pushing Prime. I will buy two, one to keep regular and one to paint up a little.

 

They could take ER Prime as Magna Convoy, and include a repaint of Lionizer so he had a sword that doubles as a companion. Oh man, and Mark named dropped Magna Convoy when he showed off SG Magnus, so hopefully his name wouldn’t get Hasbroized. If we got Black Zarak and Artfire, surely they wouldn’t mess with Magna Convoy.

 

I honestly like core UM better than ER Prime. The hips on him make his legs too long and torso too short. Looks weird in any pose except perfectly upright.

 

I hope they stick with it. Bring Convoy over as a rank like Prime is equivalent to King, Magnus is like an elected official like a prime minister, and Convoy started as a civilian commander of a group and after the war became the Autobot general rank. It would honor the massive Japanese origins of the line.

Totally get that. To me, the core looks a bit wide and short, but to each his own!  

 

I'd buy a Magna Convoy. I almost want to buy a second SG Ultra Magnus just for the inner 'bot.

 

With the way this guy is marketed, they could get some people to buy three of them. I’d buy two… if this gorgeous boy wasn’t sitting next to me, that is...  

 

I will pass on the Ultra Magnus. I do not like colors.

Why is the box so big? You can barely see him in that window since he is so small compared to it.

 

I’m surprised one of the weaponizers haven’t been turned into an official Powered Buggy… Mark named dropped Powered Buggy once on one of the streams so it’s percolating in his brain somewhere..  

 

3 toys in one. I’m a BIG supporter of SG (the absolute best BotCon theme IMO) so just more of these toys are gravy to me

That said, happy for options for those of us who aren’t into SG. You can do a head swap with the SG head and Legacy Optimus Prime and get the original SG Magnus look too, with minimal customization needed

 

Neither would be SG Ironhide for me. Deesus Drone is too close to G2 Ironhide and DK 2 is part of Diaclone.

If I were to design a SG Ironhide, I'd use green. And give him the toy clown face.
