The CYBERTRON Deluxe assortment will introduce a wide selection of newly designed classic TRANSFORMERS characters including OPTIMUS PRIME as well as CYBERTRON favorites SKYWARP, CANNONBALL, SMOKESCREEN, and DEMOLISHER. Each Deluxe figure comes with a CYBER PLANET KEY that triggers unique features such as projectile weaponry, weapon reveals, electronic lights and/or sounds.

    A deluxe Prime?

weird, no mention of Menasor and Quick Mix.

Little upset about dx Optimus Prime. Demolisher is new I think? Crosswise == Smokescreen, I guess. Definitely gotten. This is the first mainly smokescreen in a while, right?

As usual, pretty standard stuff in their press release. I guess their saving all the good stuff until later. :D

What I did find interesting was in the description of this year's deluxe assortment. It talks about the standard Cybertron stuff, but it also mentioned 'classic characters like Optimus Prime'. Now, is this a mention of the Transformers: Classic (or Neo G1, whatever) line, or would this be a deluxe Optimus for the Cybertron line? I just wonder, as the mention of Cyber Planet Keys seemed to apply to the entire paragraph. Probably Classic though. :)

But Demolishor's mentioned there-- as is Cannonball, who we already know is a Cybertron toy.

According to Kyde, Smokescreen and "Demolisher" are redecos.

I assume Smokescreen is a redeco of Crosswise, seeing as that was the original working name for the mold to begin with.

The Deluxe Optimus Prime toy is probably the "Armada Optimus Prime" listing from Cybertronian Enquirer.

EDIT: According to Cybertronian Enquirer, Crosswise and Landmine redecos are both due in September.

So Smokescreen = Crosswise redeco, "Demolisher" (or "Demolishor") = Landmine redeco?

Smokescreen will no doubt be a Crosswise repaint... and an awesome one I predict. Crosswise just screams Smokescreen (I scream, you scream, we all scream for Smokescreen).

Demolisher is no doubt the Landmine repaint we heard about. Probably in G1 Constructicon colours, as is the case with EVERY construction vehicle repaint EVER! But I love the Landmine mold enough to actually pick up a constructicon/demolisher repaint.

Two awesome molds worthy of good repaints!

So I'm a little confused now is Primus due out in May or September? I know the current BBTS newsletter stated May but this seems to indicate a September release date?

I am guessing its September but is there any clarification on this?

I really hope the deluxe Prime they mentioned isn't the Classic line's Prime (I would assume it isn't, except they use the term 'classic characters'). The G1 Neo Prime really needs to be a mega, preferably a large mega (18.5 - 20cm).

I'd like that too, but I thought that I heard somewhere that there weren't going to be any mega sized figures in the Neo-G1 line?
