I really thought VA would at least get one, even if it was in northern Va. Always seems to me that the east coat takes longer for anything TF related. Toys probably wont even be in stockrooms around my area for a a week or two after the street date. Oh well, guess I'll have to patiently wait for them/gather store codes to go harass the workers at Walmart and Target.

 

Walmart is selling on the 29th at 5pm.

I'm not driving to Houston to get toys at 9 at night. I can wait until Saturday morning.

 

But where as Walmart is Evil, Toys R Us is wonderful. Or at the very least they have competant employees.

 

My local Toys R Us closes at 9... thought that's probably why they're doing it at that time.

Too bad I don't have any extra money this week. At least there won't be "first issue" stickers on the first figures like they did with the Clone Wars toys. That ended up being pretty pointless (I kept seeing first issue stickers all the way up until Christmas, five months later), but it was enough of an incentive for me to brave the crowds and try to grab a couple. With this event all the toys I'll be able to find later, so it's not a huge loss other than the missing out on meeting other TF fans in my area.

 

Don't be so quick there.

I have a very high up birdie inside of walmart who gives me info.

They have told me walmart wouldn't ever do something like keep plastic over an isle for a whole night, and then reveal the toys at 5 pm.

They said the idea was so unlike walmart that it wouldn't be like that, and not to expect the toys on the shelf until midnight that night.

So don't bank on what one walmart employee (manager in this case) told Heat Guy who lives in the same state as me, because my person is a bit higher then a manager, and said that memo is nothing more than a rumor.
