deluxes have been 12.88 since christmas ended. The $11.88 was a weekend thing I think.

Actually $12 is the average retail price. Anything before that was a holiday or sale price.

The one dollar off thing was probably just for the release day.

Another I visited had the $12.88 as expected, but my local Wal-Mart has $11.88 right now. And not even for ROTF Deluxes alone, but also their still-sizeable number of Animated Deluxes.

Hm, hopefully a sale price before or even after movie premiere perhaps.

Well if this is true, then I am going to target next weekend for my "fix" next week. Even though after the drive, the gas will equal out to the same price.

TRU is $11.99. If you don't like Walmarts price, go there instead.

And yes, I hate the price increase too. Especially when you're basically getting the same toy.

I don't see the big deal. It's not a bad price for the toy you're getting and that price point has been standard for a few months now.

Dont bother, Target has been jacking up their prices as well; also for whoever said that the 9.99 price was a sale/christmas price, thats incorrect as well. Lets all remember that deluxes were always $9.99 before this year and shitty economy came around. Across the board, prices rose for all toys: deluxes have gone up to 12.88, Voyagers 21.99, leaders are now 44.99. Walmart was the first to say that starting this year they were increasing their prices due to not enough profits, but Target followed as well. The 'real' sale thing they had last year was when we saw Walmart sell deluxes for $8 between thanksgiving and christmas.

I was wondering why deluxes were such a great deal compared to scouts at wal mart (8.99)

Well I picked up thirteen wave one deluxes for the sale price then.

Still a better deal than the scouts.

Edit: went to toys r us this morning. They still had deluxes at 11.99

To be perfectly blunt, if you're complaining that ~$1 increase is a problem, perhaps you shouldn't be spending the other $10-$11.
