Just picked up the ROTF comic adaptation for $12.99 at a Target in Lewisville, TX. I haven't read it yet, but it collects all four of the IDW issues, plus some bonus material. Nice to get it all at once instead of having to wait for the weekly releases.

OK, added a pic to make everyone happy. Now it's time to do some reading!

May pick this up just so I can read the damn thing. My comic shop is gonna hold the individual issues, so I'll get those for the collection.

Basically, I may end up with 2 versions of this. I'm weak.

Really all 4 issues that haven't been released individually yet? I find that hard to believe. Either that or IDW has some weird marketing strategy. You sure it's not the prequels?

"Official movie adaptation" on the cover. It's just an error from target I think.

    I think this is legit.
The actual release dates of the comics
has comic store receiving trade same day as pt3.
All the tf book merchandise may be due this week or next.
This store just put it out early.
IDW's just trying to double dip.
Release the trade and 4 issues.
They need the trade on shelves at same time
as book adaptation so it came out ahead of individual issues.

They did it with the first movie (the trade came out before the individual issues) so I don't see why they won't do it again.

Nifty! I didn't want to buy the Novel Adaptation and was worried about how to dodge spoilers from it, but I'd be happy to read the whole Comic Adaptation and get my spoilers from there.

thx boardwise!!! okay, so some questions

    1) Arcee: does she combine? death?
    2) Wheelie v. Screamer? (and is wheelie referred to as wheels?)
    3) Is soundwave only in robot mode when he attacks the satellite and alt mode rest?
    4) devs really taken down by military?
    5) Power Up Optimus: Look cooler in CG or as toy?

After reading it, I can assure you that it is neither "Alliance" nor "Defiance". Please note that the cover says "Official Movie Adaptation". :)

Yes, it was in the book/magazine section. The DPCI is 059033237.

Don't do it. Let me preface this by saying that it was $12.99 well spent for me. But I would be irate if I ended up with two copies; the money would be better spent seeing the movie again or on another figure. The adaptation feels like it was really pressed for space -- it gives an overview of the plot, while glossing over way too many details, both major and minor. If they had another couple of issues to work with, I think it would have turned out much better.
