Anyone else think Sideswipe will have a Smokescreen personality X10?

 

Which is brilliant. We have a fembot with a genuinely non-gendered body except for the face which is fine. 100% more enthusiastic about this show thanks to Strongarm. Also the name, how often do you get strength as a trait tied to the female character through her name? Very happy.

 

My problem with Strongarm's design is that it appears too blocky. I mean, I'm cool with changing up the designs for this show, but maybe they should tune it down a bit.

 

This. Let's just hope her character is more than "My partner died... twice!" or "I'm badass!". Wouldn’t really mind the later, but still.

I'm personally eager to find out more about the Dinobot on Bumblebee's team. He looks Grimlock-ish from what we've seen so far. It could be Grimlock himself, he had no appearance in the aligned cartoon yet and the comics depicted him working with the other Autobots on Cybertron after "Predacons Rising". I could imagine him joining Bumblebee just to demonstrate he's the superior leader.

Also, could be good for marketing purposes if it is Grimlock, because AoE.

I would be okay with that, one can never have too much Grimlock.

 

No. smokescreen was an autobot true believer. sideswipe appears to be running from the authorities and is described as a "rebel."

From what I understand she is the rookie Elite Guard agent and, going by the clip, it wouldn't be wrong to assume she's working with Bumble Bee. She'll probably be very By The Book.

So? Nobody has a problem with Hot Rod/Rodimus.

As long as he doesn't become the next Prime. Which given there are no more living Primes, shouldn't be that much of an issue. Besides, Bumblebee's the leader now, no way is Bumblebee going to bite it just to have the impersonator take his place.

I'm going to speculate that at least ONE Universe Man will appear. 'Bot or 'Con doesn't matter.

Also, I'm predicting that Strongarm will not be like Arcee, but instead be someone who is devoted to the Spirit of the law.

 

Though mu concern is that she'll be too much like Arcee in that she's very pushy. I kind of would prefer her being a bit more of a newbie type character.

I wish we could have a female character (if we just have to have one) that wasn't so high-strung; they're always either eager new meat that get in over their heads or generic badasses with the tragic past and/or ongoing feud with an antagonist. I haven't seen a single fun-loving or ditzy female cartoon character since Lula from The Looney Tunes Show.

 

Not sure for ditzy, but I wouldn't mind fun loving, especially if she's the new recruit. Not eager for combat, per say, but definitely ready for it.

 

I hope so too.

Though I'm pretty sure that's not what they're going for.

 

Do you think Shockwave will make an appearance in this series? Y'know, since Megatron's left and Starscreams probably a ghost? (since he, like Megatron, dabbled with dark energon)
