So the fate of all the Prime bots and cons is going to be unknow?!
Come on, they did that in Cybertron, in RiD too?! Too much stories directly going to garbage, what about the Combaticons? Starscream? MEGATRON?!

lol are you saying that after all these years Hasbro finally figured to maybe, just maybe, make a series directly tied to the movies?

I wouldn't mind a series based on the movies after RID if it meant more world building and character for the robots. A show based on the films seems kind of unlikely, though, because they haven't made one yet and the films seem to be making less money.

If RID is no more after season 2, that's really disappointing. This show was way better then that shithole Prime, and it gets less episodes. I just hope some of the characters make it into other shows, like Barricade and Blackout for the movies.

Specifically Strongarm, Fixit, Thunderhoof, and Clampdown.

but yeah if that happens, you guys who have hiatus after hiatus, as when it comes to the cartoons, they release some eps, then they got to a hiatus of some many months, then air the next set of eps and the cycle continues, unlike the live action series where they release all eps of their season at once

Agreed. I doubt the movie tv series will do well. Oh well, I've got IDW to entertain me until Hasbro decides to leave the movies in the movie verse, and the tv verse in it's own world.

maybe its because the main character is Bumblebee, as some people are wishing Bee would take a seatback after so much focus since the films

    This is very worrisome.

I don't know why Cartoon Network has to be downfall for this show, since this show is made by Hasbro's In-House Studios. There are other means to get the show released.

It's a shame the show is getting canned so soon, it wasn't the best but it still has it moments. I agree with Sideways77. A lot of these characters need to become recurring characters in future series and stories.

Here's to hoping they can find a way to tie up all loose ends.

and hope with the next series following this will be good.

This stinks :(  If Hasbro intend to create a movie spin off cartoon I most likely won't be watching. The movies aren't my cup of tea.

I'm more saddened over the Aligned cartoon continuity ending, than this specific series itself (although I enjoyed RiD)

But then again a prequel to the first Bayformer movie could be kind of cool. It could be set on Cybertron, before the war and could delve into the background of the characters a bit more. I dunno, trying to be optimistic here :(

It looks to be that Hasbro decided to go stupid, and canceled RID for a stupid movie cartoon ad.

I don't think there's a really good indicator the show is cancelled. A shortened season means nothing. It could be 19 episodes followed by a 3 episode movie event (ala Prime's "Predacons Rising) thus making it actually 22. 22 episodes is still pretty close to a full season for a lot of shows. Some shows take on reduced episode counts for future seasons out of budget concerns, ideas utilized, etc like the current TMNT on Nickelodeon. It starting with 3 seasons of 26 episodes each and 2 more seasons to come with only 20 each. Until I hear differently, RiD15 still has a future.

On a side note, how great is it the seldom discussed, Decepticon free series of Rescue Bots will surpass G1 in episode count? I think it's a great achievement by a well written, often under appreciated aspect of the Transformers franchise. I hope they get a send off event like a TV film.

    ^^^^^^^
    This so much.

Reminds me of Criminal Minds, they had 24 episodes and season 3 had 20, they said they had some sort of strike or something, btu it was not cancelled, as it is on it's eleventh season...
