Man that's awesome.   I can't wait to see who the new fembot on the show is.

 

It looks like people's theories about a female motorcycle with Fixit as the sidecar might just be true! Or, a female dinobot could be interesting.

 

Just so that we never, ever, ever, ever have to deal with a Transformer saying anything to another Transformer about justifying females in the lore. I fucking hate it when things go there. Females exist in this fiction guys. It's so absolutely unnecessary to even reference or discuss it.

 

Hmm maybe the Cybertronian Elite Cadet, they mentioned might be her? Elita-1 anyone?

I think she might be the Elite Guard Cadet. Would be cool if she was the first animated version of Windblade too. Though it would be interesting if she was voicing the Dinobot.

For existing fembots my money is on moonracer or Flare-up but I have a feeling it will be some completly new bot or they said "flock it! lets use greenlight."

 

Just you saying so, won't make it so...

But I think the more pertinent debate has always been what does it mean to be a "gendered" Cybertronian? Is it inherent in their species, an affectation born of exposure to organics, or something we project onto them? And should the typical cliches preside over the characters and their physical designs?

I hate it when people caricature the discourse into a simple equation of "evil chauvinist fanboys vs heroic pro-feminists", when it actually has many more layers and striations than that. Especially since half the "pro-fembot" demographic is mostly in that camp because they like to think sexy thoughts about their cartoon robots.  

I have no problem with having a fembot in this series. I'm just bringing it up because YOU brought it up.

But I would like is she was a dinobot just to shake things up.

Wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be Windblade. They did say she's going to be a multi-platform type of deal.

 

The sad fact is, everything you stated as a positive analysis for genders (not females, genders, meaning males too need to be explained) is likely never going to be explored in a cartoon. Especially one with the production crew this one has.   It does have interesting possibilities if done right, but I'm more concerned about if it will ever be done at all.

Also, the bolded part is truth.

It'd be badass if she voiced the dino.

Especially since the dino is "bombastic."

They might be getting her to voice a young male potentially (I don't know her voice to know if she can do that) as that might be a more stable choice than getting a young boy (who will grow up). They might have learned a lesson from Raf's actor.

All the same, the show should have at absolute least one main female transformer on each side. I'm always up for more female molds to redeco too!

Man, I kinda hope it's the dinobot as that's something we've never had before. Female elite guard kinda feels like it would play out a lot like Prime Arcee but just more rule-following.

 

If i had to guess it would be Elita-1. I really hope though that she isn't a motorcycle.

 

Well it is the Prime creative team so I don't expect anything groundbreaking or really innovative.

But still mostly interested in that dinobot character.
