Well the image is to demonstrate what he looks like to an extent, I think he does have certain similar aspects to it thats why I used the image.

Think of a mix of that and TLK concept art. Nothing is going to look exactly like what I saw, I'm just trying to give a decent description.

Do you guys think we will see BW Megatron in the movie? If not who do you see as leader of the Predacons?

 

Does cheetor look just as good too?

 

They didn't show or mention Cheetor at the event but hopefully he is in.

Or Predaking, the leader being a combiner of the original G1 Predacons in charge of a whole faction of Predacons would be dope, but then we have individual Predacons like Waspinator, Tarantulas, and Scorponok.

 

God I hope so.

 

I'm half-convinced it's just going to be the Prime Predacons with Predaking as leader instead of any Beast Wars Predacon.

did anyone in these forums attend the virtual press conference for ROTB? hopefully a mod saw primal and can give a very detailed description of what he/she saw.

 

Supposedly it looks like the Last Knight concept art for primal but with more color and some fur that's been falling out over time

 

The Predacons in the movie were described as reptilian, though. That excludes the G1 Predacons and all but two of the Beast Wars Predacons (three if you count Dinobot).

Yes, this is correct. We were told they would be "more reptilian in nature". I'm not sure if this means they will all be reptilian though?

Steven Caple Jr.'s quote from the event:

"The difference between the sort of Predacons in our film, they are more reptillian in nature. So to speak, you've seen a few in the other Transformers films, they've been like here and there, but we never got a chance to really focus in on their logo. So to speak. Their insignia, I really identify them with, to Lorenzo's point their tribe, if you will. And so we're really hitting that more. And then we get to see another side to them. Again, it's all about sort of like building a backstory to these characters."

"That's a little bit more than, 'Hey, let's take over the world. What is their personal agenda? What are the feelings behind it? And so we'll get the seed of that. You can't really make a movie about Beast Wars and not have the classic characters."

 

But I wouldn't be surprised if they alter some of the characters like what we're seeing with Scourge.

 

I think he was talking about the Dinobots as being comparable to the Predacons as they are Reptiles as well.

 

so basically Iguanus, Snapper, and Terragator.
