Not sure how I feel about the Maximals having green eyes. I’ve usually associated green eyes with Unicron/other spooky bad guys.

 

Yeah, I would have liked to have seen red eyes like in the cartoon - Its probably because they think people associate red eyes with villains. The Maximals insignia is sometimes Green as well so maybe its to tie it into that?

Airazor did have blue eyes in the concept art so it looks like that they won't all have the same colored eyes though.

 

What was the best design in your opinion?

 

If you look at the Optimus Primal concept art for Transformers: The Last Knight try to imagine that with a more rusty look and some patches of hair.

I would say Scourge and Nightbird.

 

Love your videos, i have to ask. what do you think on the matter if this being a reboot or a prequel? I'm on the stance this is a reboot, but i like to hear what others think.

In terms of it being a reboot or prequel, from the event It seemed like they want to keep it loosely linked to Bay's universe - saying how Prime will go on to become the character we know in those movies.

I feel like they are hesitant to completely distance themselves from the Bay movies and still seem to want to act like all these movies exist in the same continuity.

I personally think that this should be a continuation of Bumblebee which should itself be classed as the beginning of a new universe but I feel like this movie will be very similar to how they handled Bumblebee neither specifically disregarding or acknowledging the Bay movies.

 

I think going by Steven Caple Jr's words. he wants to avoid the bayverse. i honestly don't trust a word Lorenzo says

Hope it is a reboot, there really is know reason to keep these movie tied to the Bayverse now, they will never go back too complete that series now so what is the point? If its just to keep those movies relevant why not just say that theys exist in a separate timeline.

Really I just hope they give us a good movie, I think Caple Jr is a good choice, my only worry is its too much, to soon.

I said in another thread, that at the press event getting to listen to Lorenzo speak, I was pleasantly surprised at how passionate Lorenzo was for the Transformers franchise and seemed that he genuinely wants to give the fans a movie they will enjoy.

I've questioned him in the past but to me it seems like a lot of the time he is just misguided by Michael Bay direction and maybe still slightly is. But I think he realises that here has to be more heart in these movies, not just action.

 

I honestly hope all reptilean robots take the cobrabot's design as inspiration. The way it's metal shards resemble scales at the same time they look mechanical is just genius

The artwork is more just to compliment the description, I wouldn't say it is close to what I saw but as explained in the video it has similarities.

No, I wouldn't say he looks nothing like it but obviously a CGI model is going to look a lot different.

 

I'm so confused on where to stand regarding your video. You claim it's there for reference then say the tlk concept is closer to what you saw... nonoffense but you have really confused me.
