Chest lock piece? Robotic parts? Are they ultimately designed to portray suspenders to go with a nerd look, or is that a narrative that just began after people had negative first impressions?

 

A simple tab would have locked the chest, so that’s ruled out as a necessity. Details that very much resemble suspenders, are more than likely suspenders. It’s kinda like saying Que from Dotm wasn’t meant to resemble Albert Einstein even though his head is literally him. It’s also comparable to aoe drift, who isn’t just a robot who happens to have armor plating resembling a samurai, he literally is a robot wearing samurai armor.

 

Fair enough. If the designers say that was the intent, then I'll believe it. Two pieces attached to the stomach in no way resemble suspenders to me.

 

So that's what the Glasses are meant for!

I hope SS "Wheeljack" turns out just as well as a figure. More sculpting with a licensed alt mode please.

 

I keep repeating this but yeah this design for Wheeljack looks good for a Junkion!
Even the van mode fits in, and so does his "trash" or "scrap" colour scheme

 

I’m gonna still use mine as Wheeljack but it does fit.

Same and at the least I think he’ll be licensed like ER Bee or Buzzworthy Goldbug.
