Based upon my experiences here, that usually doesn’t happen unless they feel they have to justify or defend their positions.

Are these figures their own line, or Studio Series? Meaning they will be made again in a few years.

And Hasbro will save the planet by not putting a small piece of clear plastic in their packaging.

 

given that it doesnt remotely resemble the back shot of wheeljack in the trailer (which is slimmer and has big door wings) the SS toy will look a lot different.

 

For the record, I don’t have much issue with the body / van mode. Doesn’t do much for me personally, but looks like some effort was put into it.

 

Like I said earlier, slap a new head on it and you have a nice UT Towline.

 

These two figures fall under the mainline for ROTB that encompasses the gimmick toys. These figures, along with the first revealed Airrazor and a rumored Mirage and Bumblebee, were originally based on concept art and meant to release in 2022 to coincide with the film.

However, the Studio Series figures, meant to release in 2023 from the beginning, are now seemingly going to be released alongside these figures, which were delayed.

Basically, these are the first designed and produced figures of these characters, who will be redesigned and more accurate for their SS release, also in 2023.

 

It's been said by recent online leaks that the body will be different, but the head we see here is more or less the same.

Now if this changes or not (seeing as we're half a year from release and plenty has changed in films in that time in the past) we'll have to wait and see.

 

im guessing the gimmick has something to do with that brown colour. it might only be like the "allspark blue" deco on the 2007 toys
