Also, it doesn't really matter how long he was in the movie. He was in the BB movie and we saw his face. That design is canon. Plus, it's not like had to copy and paste that design. They still had some creative liberty to do something interesting with the alternative mode parts to spice things up. Instead, they took the uncreative route and made something up from nothing. And it looks like ass.

My sentiments exactly. I still praise the Decepticons in that movie and the fight scenes during it all, but yeah. It was an amazing olive branch to older fans who were so burnt out from the movies.

 

The fact that they quietly tossed Travis Knight away after expressing that he had ideas for future movies tells us there is probably a deliberate reason why he's not in charge this time around. Maybe Paramount execs didn't feel like they had much control with Travis around.

yeah man, Bay is a right villain and just a real all-around asshole (especially from watching interviews of him… side tangent: been watching all James Cameron’s interviews this week, now that man may swear a lot and be brash too, but damn if he isn’t an upstanding guy with respect for film/his peers/and fiction as a whole) but I think Lorenzo has been the Palpatine here all along…

I have little doubt he’s probably sitting there in meetings cackling like a f***ing maniac: “bwahaha put the glasses on it! Omg that’s so dumb, and funny!!11!! I love it! These dumb ass Transformers fans will eat whatever we serve them”  

 

I honestly love Wheeljack’s design. Nightbird is a little disappointing, I was hoping her Alt mode would be colored better.
